Bagel street cafe is a popular bagel sandwich spot that recently opened in the neighborhood. They've been around for 15 years, so they know what they're doing. With three other locations in easy-to-access areas, it's well worth going to Bagel Street Cafe if you want fresh, high-quality food at an affordable price. Plus, they cater to people with dietary restrictions like vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free.
*Fresh, yeast-risen bagels toasted to your liking
*Excellent prices for the quality of food served. They offer a 2-for-one deal on bagels and soups at 520 W 4th Avenue in the West Village from Monday to Friday. The store sells frozen and microwaved bagels, but you can still choose from their variety of toppings, both hot and cold, as well as vegan and vegetarian options.
*Expensive food that is worth it. The owner and staff are friendly and take pride in their business. They don't accept credit cards, but there's an ATM on the corner.
*The best hummus I've ever had in my life. It's so good; it has made me want to try their other dishes too! All hummus options come with a side of home fries or salad and pita bread (which is included and not gluten-free).
*The best burgers I've ever had in my life. They have a special burger of the month where you get to choose your toppings and change it up every month. I recommend their current "Bison Burger" with mushrooms and cheese. The bison meat is so tender that you can even pick up the bun without tearing it apart!
*Tasty gluten-free bread like cinnamon swirl challah bread for 1/4 loaf for $1 and much more. They also make custom-baked loaves of bread.
*The best sandwich shop in the area for all your bagel needs. There's a pretty good selection of sandwiches, but if you can't eat gluten, they've got vegan, vegetarian and dairy-free options too.
*Summer hours are 10 am to 10 pm daily, and the store closes one hour earlier on Sunday.

The best bagels in NYC, I think. Bagel Street Cafe has 3 locations, and they're all good! I believe that the Lower East Side location is the best. The wait can be long during peak times, so be prepared to wait at any of their sites.
