“To embrace change is to adopt new technologies and wield them as tools.” Hemanth Volikatla says, expressing the philosophy he uses in the elastic tech landscape. It was this mindset and a dream that set Volikatla’s journey from a software engineer to a Senior Technical Service Manager at SAP America—where he began the roadmap for next gen cloud computing.

The Architect of Change: Going from Groundwork to Global

Hemanth stepped into the tech world due to passion for coding and a determination to solve complex problems. His early years were dedicated to mastering various programming languages and database environments. From SAP HANA to Oracle and JAVA, Volikatla honed his skills and cultivated a philosophy of perpetual learning and innovation. “Every line of code offers a lesson and a new opportunity to innovate,” Hemanth shares, recounting his growth from a software engineer into a software architect at giants like HP, Accenture, IBM, and SAP.

Cloud computing’s entry into the tech world marked a critical chapter in Volikatla’s career. He recognized its potential to improve the business landscape and advocated for their adoption across SAP America. This was successful and his efforts were instrumental in the company navigating the new era. “I see cloud computing as a strategic revolution,” Volikatla asserts.

In March 2017, Hemanth Volikatla earned significant recognition for his role in a landmark project between HP and SAP. Utilizing the HP Systinet Foundation as the foundational UDDI v3 server for SAP’s Services Registry, Volikatla’s work eliminates data duplication and potential inconsistencies. This power move demonstrated a fresh take to service registry integration. It also was perfect example of his technical expertise and ability to lead in developing solutions for heterogeneous landscapes, culminating in a co-authored how-to document published by SAP.

Following this achievement, in April 2017, Volikatla was celebrated for his contributions to Procter and Gamble as a CAPM Manager, where his strategic optimization of over 20 systems surpassed expectations. His efforts led to cost savings and propelled the company to its highest revenue growth in two years.

Hemanth’s work integrating artificial intelligence with cloud computing shows his forward-thinking approach. Under his guidance, numerous businesses have also begun to leverage AI to enhance their cloud capabilities. “The connection between AI and cloud computing is the secret to unlocking new tech possibilities,” Volikatla explains, shedding light on a more interconnected and intelligent technological ecosystem.

Taking the World by Storm

Throughout his career, Volikatla has worked with many global customers, including eBay, HPE, IBM, and Procter & Gamble. The central function of his roles revolved around providing technical advisory and support that span continents. His expertise in cloud data center architecture and SAP applications has set the standard for excellence. “Our goal is to ensure technology serves as a ladder to success for businesses worldwide,” he notes.

Hemanth Volikatla’s contributions illustrate a picture of the future—and it’s anything but cloudy. His evolution from coding to the strategic expanses of cloud technology proves his eagerness to change. Volikatla reflects on this, “We could envision the future of cloud computing by building solutions that solve today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s possibilities.”
