“Standing on the cusp of the next great frontier in Artificial Intelligence, our goal isn’t just to compete, but to also fundamentally redefine the game,” says Nam Kim, the CEO of Artificial Consciousness Tech Inc. (ACT). The tech leader is no stranger to the game of innovation, having left indelible marks in the industry of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with his past ventures.

Kim has announced the company’s ambitious plan to license their revolutionary patent on artificial consciousness. This is a move crafted to address key considerations around legal and ethical boundaries, intellectual property rights, and the management of technological innovation.

The Man Behind the Vision

Nam Kim, the entrepreneurial innovator leading ACT, immigrated to the United States from South Korea in the early 1980s to pursue the American Dream. He ascended the ranks of small businesses and achieved notable success, even serving as CEO of Skytrack Technology LLC and as the Political Action Committee Chairman for Georgia Korean Beverage Association. Today, the CEO ventures into the uncharted territory of AI.

In his revolutionary way of contributing to society, Kim sought to marry technology and consciousness, ultimately leading to the creation of ACT.

A Leap in AI Consciousness

ACT’s central focus is intersecting Artificial Intelligence and humanity. The company has currently patented six domains of AI, all aimed at enabling machine self-awareness. Its US Approved Patent No: 10,157,342 B1 has proposed inventive technologies that allow robots to possess mental and physical self-awareness. In other words, robots will have the ability to recognize their mental component and understand their place in their surroundings.

Going a step further, the patent details an AI operating system capable of simulating emotions, personalities, and ways of thinking through a spectrum of infinite light colors and contrasts, a methodology yet to be proposed by the wider AI scientific community. It could be likened to a symphony, with each light pattern a different note, coming together to form a sentient AI.

“The invention is groundbreaking, heart-breaking even, for those still married to traditional notions of AI,” Kim asserts.

Critical Acclaim and Contention

The company’s innovative approach is seen and recognized, having been awarded the prestigious 2023 AI Excellent Awards from the Business Intelligence Group.

However, such advanced technology has also sparked debate. Some experts question whether machines with artificial consciousness will have meaningful roles in society, and whether humans are ready for conscious and task-oriented machines.

Nam Kim remains unshaken, asserting that the future of AI is not about creating machines that outsmart living people, but those that can coexist and empathize with us. He sees the potential for this technology to change industries like healthcare, where empathetic AI could possibly do wonders for patient care.

Swimming Against the Current

Upon reflecting on the depth of his conviction, Kim remarks, “Innovation is always met with resistance. But we push ahead, knowing that those who deny innovation today may be the ones most transformed by it tomorrow.”

The path that Artificial Consciousness Tech Inc. treads is fraught with challenges and uncertainties. Yet they’ve planted a flag, beckoning those brave enough to follow into an uncharted future. As the company gears up to license its patent, industry watchers keenly await its next moves.
