A new era of global entrepreneurship is taking shape, and at the center of that momentum is TEN an international innovation platform designed to connect the world’s brightest student founders with investors, educators, and ecosystem leaders. More than a competition, TEN has evolved into a dynamic global ecosystem and business convention that brings together the full spectrum of innovation stakeholders. With its 2026 edition set for June 22–25 in Kingston, Jamaica, TEN is emerging not just as an event, but as a powerful bridge linking Africa, the Caribbean, the United States, and beyond.
TEN’s core identity is rooted in its commitment to being global, institutional, and future-focused. It is intentionally positioned as a platform rather than a one-time gathering, designed to foster long-term collaboration, cross-continental partnerships, and sustainable innovation pipelines. As the world increasingly looks toward emerging markets and youth-driven solutions, TEN is stepping forward as a central hub where ideas meet opportunity on a global scale. University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) is host campus for this year’s 2026conference.
The 2026 installment TEN Jamaica 2026 marks a defining milestone in the platform’s evolution. This year’s competition is the most international in TEN’s history, with participating and advancing teams representing Africa, the United States, the Caribbean, Asia, and Europe. Countries such as Rwanda, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Germany, and the United Kingdom are among those contributing to a diverse and highly competitive field. Notably, more than a dozen African teams have advanced, making this the strongest African representation the platform has seen to date.
At the heart of this year’s narrative is the formal organization of the Africa Delegation. This delegation includes student founders, educators, innovation hubs, ecosystem leaders, and institutional partners from across the continent. It represents a strategic and symbolic expansion of TEN’s global footprint and underscores Africa’s rapidly growing influence in the global innovation landscape. As one of the platform’s founders explains, “This year’s Africa Delegation represents the strongest continental presence we’ve ever had. The energy, creativity, and ambition coming out of Africa is extraordinary.”
Equally significant is the selection of Kingston, Jamaica as the host city. Positioned as a rising innovation hub, Kingston serves as both a cultural and economic bridge between Africa and the Caribbean. Its role as the host city elevates not only the event, but also Jamaica’s growing reputation as a destination for global entrepreneurship and investment. “Jamaica is the perfect home for TEN 2026 culturally vibrant, globally connected, and ready to welcome the next generation of innovators,” a spokesperson noted, reinforcing the country’s strategic importance in this global narrative.
TEN Jamaica 2026 is further strengthened by a growing list of institutional alignments and partnerships. Engagement with the Consulate of Jamaica in Houston, led by The Honorable Khalfani Omari Fullerton, alongside organizations such as the Ghana Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, ALU, Startup Grind South Africa, the Rice Association for African Development, and Courtleigh Hotel & Suites & Pegasus (Sister Properties) as the preferred accommodation partner, adds a level of credibility and infrastructure that positions TEN as a serious, institutionally backed platform. These collaborations signal that TEN is not operating in isolation, but rather as part of a broader, coordinated global effort to support entrepreneurship and innovation.
One of the standout features of TEN Jamaica 2026 is “Deal Flow Thursday,” a dedicated day focused on investor-founder matchmaking. This initiative creates a structured environment where emerging founders can connect directly with potential investors, transforming the event from a showcase into a transactional and opportunity-driven experience. It is a key differentiator that sets TEN apart from traditional conferences and competitions, emphasizing real outcomes and tangible growth opportunities for participants.
Beyond the immediate event, TEN’s long-term vision is what truly distinguishes it. The platform is actively building global pipelines that connect founders to resources, markets, and capital across continents. It is establishing annual delegations, fostering institutional alliances, and creating an ongoing ecosystem that extends far beyond the four-day experience in Jamaica. This forward-thinking approach positions TEN as a movement, one that is shaping the future of entrepreneurship by enabling collaboration across borders and cultures.
“TEN is becoming a bridge between global innovation communities,” a founder shared. “Our goal is to create a global platform where student founders can connect, compete, and build the future together.” This vision is reflected not only in the diversity of participants, but also in the intentional design of the platform itself, which prioritizes inclusivity, scalability, and long-term impact.
As applications and participation pathways open for TEN Jamaica 2026, the message is clear: this is not just another event on the global calendar. It is a convergence point for ideas, capital, culture, and collaboration. With its strongest international presence to date, a formal Africa Delegation, strategic institutional partnerships, and a host city positioned at the crossroads of global innovation, TEN Jamaica 2026 is set to redefine what a global entrepreneurship platform can be.
In a world increasingly driven by connectivity and shared progress, TEN is not simply responding to the moment it is actively shaping it.
