Local franchise owner Keith Burney is recognized for his transition from corporate life to community-focused restoration work

SOUTHEAST PUGET SOUND, Wash. June 4, 2026, Paul Davis Restoration of SE Puget Sound is proud to announce that franchise owner Keith Burney was recently featured in Franchise Dictionary Magazine in an article titled, “From Corporate to Community: Restoring Homes and Hope: Paul Davis Restoration.”

The feature highlights Burney’s professional journey from serving in the Navy and practicing law to stepping away from an unfulfilling corporate role in search of a more meaningful next chapter. After exploring entrepreneurship through a veterans program, Burney discovered franchising and found a strong fit with Paul Davis Restoration’s established business model, operational support, and values-driven culture.

Burney opened Paul Davis Restoration of SE Puget Sound in March 2024. Since then, the business has grown from two employees to 11 while continuing to focus on operational excellence, team development, and service to the local community.

“I’m a handy guy and like fixing things,” Burney told Franchise Dictionary Magazine. “It’s always been interesting to me how things work around the house, and I liked being able to help people. That just really spoke to me.”

For Burney, the most rewarding part of business ownership has been the opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond restoration work alone.

“The most gratifying part is being able to help people,” Burney said in the article. “And I mean not just my customers but my employees and my community. I think these are all things that Paul Davis focuses on as a company, not just taking care of your customers. That’s the obvious mission, but being able to grow your employees and be a valued member of the community — those things are all part of our values and really make running it kind of special.”

The Franchise Dictionary Magazine feature showcases Burney’s commitment to leadership, service, and building a business rooted in community care. It also reflects the mission of Paul Davis Restoration of SE Puget Sound: helping people restore not only their properties, but also their peace of mind during difficult times.

“We are honored to be featured by Franchise Dictionary Magazine,” said Burney. “This recognition is really a reflection of our entire team and the work they do every day to serve homeowners, businesses, and families throughout Southeast Puget Sound.”
