Marquis Who’s Who has honored Brian Polackoff for success in the SaaS industry. In software as a service (SaaS), competition is fierce. These companies often struggle with client churn, a situation where customers stop utilizing their services. Mr. Polackoff turned an early interest in technology into a thriving enterprise. As the founder and chief executive officer of Churn Assassin Software, he is innovating how businesses address customer retention challenges.

Mr. Polackoff’s experience as an emergency medical technician (EMT) in New Jersey fueled his entrepreneurial spirit. Working alongside dedicated paramedics, he saw how they struggled to work a demanding, full-time job to support their families. This exposure inspired him to pursue an education in a computer-related field. Mr. Polackoff studied programming and computer tech support at the Chubb Institute, graduating with honors.

In 2000, with the support of his family, Mr. Polackoff launched a successful web development company, Centurion Systems, while working as an EMT. The company specialized in website building and email hosting, achieving $100,000 in annual revenue at its peak. He ran the business for nine years. Despite this success, he had to constantly acquire new clients. This experience led him to develop Vairkko.

The human resources and learning management platform gained recognition within the software industry. It was later sold in 2023. Throughout his career, Mr. Polackoff has ventured into several businesses, some of which succeeded, and others failed. However, he gained insights along the way. “While it is possible for a great idea to originate from just one person, bringing that idea to life requires the involvement of at least two people, such as family members or partners,” Mr. Polackoff said.

Armed with this insight, Mr. Polackoff founded Churn Assassin Software in 2023. He saw that SaaS companies often lack the tools to address customer churn. The software application is designed for the human resources tech space. Currently serving 60 clients, it focuses on early intervention strategies to help companies improve customer retention rates.

Mr. Polackoff believes in opening doors for the next generation of entrepreneurs. He contributes to the development of young talent by mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs, including those from Algeria. Mr. Polackoff also supports his wife’s nonprofit organization, Anything Foundation, which aids families affected by cancer. He is also the proud father of two sons.

Mr. Polackoff has high aspirations for Churn Assassin Software. If the company achieves $5 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), he plans to focus on independent growth. If not, he will look into potentially licensing algorithms to empower other companies. This strategic planning reflects his ambition to contribute to the broader SaaS industry by enhancing the marketability of SaaS solutions.

Along his professional path, Mr. Polackoff often wanted to handle everything independently. However, he realized the pursuit of success required a different mindset. “It was only possible to do so with a team. Greatness often begins with collaboration,” he explains. In the meantime, Mr. Polackoff remains focused on building a company culture rooted in teamwork.

Customer retention can often feel unpredictable. Mr. Polackoff’s work with Churn Assassin Software aims to provide structured strategies to improve retention efforts. By prioritizing early intervention strategies and fostering a culture of teamwork, he is helping SaaS companies reach their goals. His journey is a reminder that true success is built on the foundations of collaboration, innovation, and a deep-seated commitment to making a difference.
