Palm Beach, Florida, came alive on the evening of March 2, 2024, as amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research, hosted a remarkable event blending philanthropy, art, and advocacy. The prestigious gathering unfolded at the residence of James and Lisa Cohen, attracting influential personalities, renowned artists, and committed philanthropists united in their support of amfAR’s crucial mission – to champion AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and global advocacy.
Dionne Warwick, a pioneer in HIV/AIDS activism, took center stage, receiving honors for her dedication to the cause. The event, presented by the legendary Barry Gibb and tributed by the soulful Amber Riley, showcased philanthropic leadership honoree Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, who was recognized for her significant contributions and presented by the iconic Tom Ford. The event also featured a special performance by the legendary Sting and was expertly hosted by the talented Julianna Margulies.
In Memoriam of Mathilda Krim, PH.D., the founding chairman, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, held the position of the founding international chairman. Co-Chairs T. Ryan Greenawalt and Kevin McClatchy, along with Chief Executive Officer Kevin Robert Frost, led the board.

Among the notable attendees was Andres Arellano, a prominent figure in global business development and connections. In alignment with amfAR’s vision, Arellano participated in the event to raise awareness and contribute support to the vital mission against AIDS.
James and Lisa Cohen, hosts and chairs of the event, were joined by esteemed figures such as Barry Gibb, T. Ryan Greenawalt, Tommy and Dee Hilfiger, Michele and Howard Kessler, Omeed and Caroline Malik, Kevin McClatchy, Amy and John Phelan, and Stephen and Christine Schwarzman, all serving as chairpersons. The auction was conducted by Michael Macaulay, SVP/Deputy Chairman, Auctioneer, Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s. The event’s music, curated by DJ MichaelAngelo L’Acqua, set the perfect tone for the night.
