Megan Myers Smith grew up in Williamson County, watching the greater Nashville, Brentwood, and Franklin areas change and grow over the years. Today, she serves those same communities as a real estate agent with Onward Real Estate. Since 2016, she has helped countless families find and sell homes across Middle Tennessee.

For Megan, real estate has never been about volume or price points. It has been about people. “Real estate isn’t just about brokering property transactions,” she explained. “It’s about guiding people through a significant financial and personal transition in their lives.”

That perspective has shaped her entire career. She treats every client the same, regardless of the price tag on their home. Whether someone is buying their first place or selling a luxury property, she believes they deserve the same attention and professionalism.

A Foundation in Education

Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and a Master’s in Education from Trevecca University. From that foundation, she went on to earn her real estate license and has since built a business almost entirely on referrals. She holds designations as a Seller Representative Specialist, Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Pricing Strategy Advisor, and Leading Relocation Specialist. She is a member of the Williamson County Association of REALTORS, the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS, the Tennessee Association of REALTORS, and the National Association of REALTORS.

Understanding the Emotional Side

In an industry that often prioritizes numbers, Megan has taken a different approach. “My clients are not transactions or files in a system,” she said. “I pour myself into every client and every situation, taking the time to truly understand their goals, concerns, and what matters most to them.”

She recognizes that most challenges in real estate do not come from the contract itself. They come from the emotional side of buying and selling a home. Clients are often attached to a home they have loved for years, or they are navigating a competitive market where their heart is set on something they may not be able to get.

“A home represents memories, family, finances, and the future,” Megan said. “My job is to honor that emotional side while also guiding the process with clarity and professionalism.”

She describes her approach as being like a duck on water. Everything appears calm and smooth on the surface for her clients, while underneath, she is working constantly behind the scenes to keep everything moving forward.

“My clients are often already stressed by life, moving, family logistics, and finances,” she explained. “My goal is to remove as much pressure from them as possible. The ideal outcome is that they walk away saying, ‘That was the easiest real estate process we’ve ever experienced.'”

Consistent Growth and Recognition

Over the past ten years, Megan has steadily increased her production each year. In 2025, she ranked number five in her office at Onward Real Estate. She has received the Platinum Award from both the Greater Nashville REALTORS and the Williamson County Association of REALTORS. In a market that has shifted significantly, she has consistently adapted and helped clients navigate changing conditions.

Being part of Onward Real Estate, a locally owned brokerage, allows her to stay closely connected to the communities she serves.

Rooted in Community

Community matters to Megan. She proudly supports organizations like Make-A-Wish, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, and Second Harvest Food Bank through charitable giving and participation when opportunities arise. When she is not working with clients, she can be found with her husband, daughter, and two sons. They live in Franklin and enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and doing home renovation projects.

“My goal isn’t just to help someone buy or sell a home,” Megan said. “It’s to serve people well, earn their trust, and build relationships that last far beyond the closing table.”

In a business that can feel transactional, she has built her career on something more lasting. The referrals keep coming because the relationships are real.
