Youth football is the bedrock of many professional careers, where aspiring players develop skills, forge friendships, and learn the game’s complexities. As a member of the under-19 team, Rahman was not all about individual stats. In reality, he contributed to more chemistry with teammates and involvement with the youth football side, which was involved with leadership. Such teamwork cannot be underestimated in a game of football. Rahman exemplified this within communication and support during the game and in the field’s periphery. Such traits lead to individual growth and facilitate the entire group’s environment.
It is always a challenge balancing football with education, a common challenge young athletes face. For such a challenge, Rahman balanced his education and football at Burnley FC. Although he devoted time to proper training and matches, he also dedicated time to studying, seeing that he won in school while balancing with his athletic career. This balance can bring significant options to young athletes other than just sports. Reflecting on this, Rahman dedicated his time to education and football. It proved the dictum: discipline is a way to succeed in competition.
Along with what he has achieved on the field, I feel that one particular quality of Rahman is his strength in overcoming obstacles. His path had not been smooth sailing; youth football is a pretty cutthroat competition. However, determination to succeed has marked Rahman’s spell at Burnley FC throughout.
The period at Burnley FC will not go unnoticed in terms of developing Rahman as a footballer. First-hand experience, lessons, and bonds at play and behind the scenes have impacted everything he has done. Rahman is expected to be set for the next step in his career, armed with skills and perspective acquired in three formative years.
