Through engaging digital and print content, Aniletes, a team of eight animated athletes, teaches kids important life lessons. Created by former Olympic athlete and coach Dennis Berkholtz, Aniletes inspires youth to be their best selves both in life and in sports. The brand celebrates the joy of winter sports by entertaining and educating children and teens about acting with integrity. Dennis hopes to spread the Aniletes’ message to youth worldwide, encouraging them to follow their dreams and be productive global citizens.Ā

Dennis Berkholtz, a former handball player who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and coached at the 1976 Olympics, is giving back to youth through sports ā€œedutainmentā€. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Dennis always had a passion and inherent talent for athletics. No matter the sport, he was well-known for placing first. These accomplishments quickly led to a successful, rewarding career in sports, coaching, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Across all of his pursuits, Dennis has learned the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, integrity, and strong morals. He believes his moral compass has enabled him to receive one-of-a-kind opportunities to improve himelf and positively impact others.

It’s this mindset that inspires Dennis to share his experiences of the journey of life and sports with youth. For him and many other athletes, sports are an outlet for self-improvement, community, and healthy living. By highlighting the positives of sports through a relatable team of animated athletic characters, Dennis hopes to nurture the next generation.

For over three years, Dennis has developed the Aniletes brand into what it is today. The Aniletes team has eight unique characters representing winter sports federations: Ski, Puck, Bob, Sled, Speed, Skate, Board, and Stone. Each Anilete has admirable traits children and teens can relate to as they explore new facets of sports and life. Since almost 100 countries have winter sports federations, Aniletes’ message can easily resonate with youth worldwide. Dennis deliberately developed the brand to serve this audience because he believes it’s critical to support young minds everywhere. As Aniletes becomes widely known internationally, Dennis plans to release animated content such as a TV cartoon series, a movie, and children’s books. Aniletes provides children with the opportunity to freely explore sports they enjoy without the pressure of following a set path, which then resonates with their life’s journey.Ā

ā€œThe Aniletes cultivate a love for athletics in youth, but it also provides them with important lessons about respect, responsibility, integrity, and being the best you can be,ā€ Dennis says. ā€œWhen I was an athlete, I excelled at every sport I played until handball. I lost 50 games back to back, and since my teammates and I had strong moral standings, that enabled us to continue trying our best regardless of what adversity we faced. I want to teach children that character will always win over athletic ability, which is why it’s key to be a compassionate person to yourself and othersā€

The Aniletes advocate for children to let loose and have fun by offering entertaining yet educational storylines. Dennis anticipates the brand’s animated series and related branded products, from an Anilete apparel line to other consumer products, will be released in the fall of 2025. In the following decade, he plans to spread Aniletes globally, seeking investment with like-minded individuals experienced in branding and licensing. His main goal is to inspire children to be the best they can be while also giving back to youth sports development programs.
