In a recent interview, Nina sat down to talk about her remarkable career and the various facets that make her a fashion icon.
Fashion has always been a prominent presence in Nina's life. She hails from a family with a rich history in the industry. Her grandmother ran women's fashion boutiques in Norway, providing a nurturing environment for Nina to learn and grow in the world of fashion. "My grandmother was always a big inspiration to me," Nina fondly recalls. It's clear that family values and traditions laid a solid foundation for her future endeavors.
In addition to her burgeoning career in fashion design, Nina Naustdal also made her mark in the modeling industry from a young age. She has graced the covers of international magazines, making her a well-recognized face in the fashion world. Her appearances on magazine covers in countries like the USA, the Middle East, Russia, and the UK showcase her versatility and universal appeal.
Nina's involvement as a judge in beauty contests, such as Miss Universe in Norway, played a crucial role in her advocacy for women's empowerment. Being a head judge for several beauty contests in the UK allowed her to support and inspire women to pursue their dreams. "Seeing what supporting these women meant and how it could change their lives inspired me to want to help and inspire more women to pursue their dreams," Nina says. Her experiences as a judge provided a unique insight into the aspirations of young women and the transformative power of opportunities.
In 2011, Nina embarked on a new chapter of her fashion journey by launching her boutique in London. This marked the birth of the Nina Naustdal Fashion House, where she introduced her Couture and lifestyle brand to the world. "What inspired me to create my own couture and lifestyle brand was that what I wanted and was looking for didn't exist. I knew I could offer something different and unique that people could appreciate and love as much as me," she explains.
Nina's goal was to make people feel special and confident in her designs, to accentuate their best features and natural beauty. Her fashion philosophy centers on complementing individual personalities, instilling confidence, and leaving a lasting legacy.
