Originally from Sibley, Mississippi, Zelda built a successful career in corporate America before choosing to follow her calling—a path centered around faith, family, and empowering her community. With almost 20 years of experience in real estate, she is not just a broker, but a speaker, instructor, and tireless advocate for financial literacy and informed homeownership.

Zelda launched A2Z Real Estate Consultants LLC in 2016, following her entry into the real estate industry in 2006. Her mission is clear: to educate, enlighten, and empower. “We believe an educated client is empowered to make informed decisions,” she says, and this belief is at the core of every service she offers. Whether working with buyers, sellers, or agents, her goal is to ensure that no one enters a real estate transaction without clarity and confidence.

A Lifetime of Leadership and Learning

What sets Zelda apart in the competitive Texas market is her multifaceted leadership. She’s a Certified Real Estate Instructor, a member of the Texas Real Estate Teachers Association for life, and an Instructor for the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council. She writes, teaches, and speaks nationally, leading educational sessions for realtor associations and corporate audiences alike.

Her expertise has earned her continuous recognition. She is a multi-year recipient of the Five Star Real Estate Agent award by Five Star Professional, and her work has been featured in Fortune Magazine, Texas Monthly, Texas Realtor Magazine, and other notable publications. In 2024, Zelda was selected for the prestigious Fortune Five Star Legends edition, followed by an appearance in Texas Monthly’s 2025 Five Star Legends edition—an honor reserved for professionals who have consistently earned accolades for over a decade.

But even with these accolades, Zelda never stops learning. “If I’m not working with clients or speaking at engagements, I’m in a class to stay current and relevant,” she shares.

Disrupting the Industry Through Education and Advocacy

Zelda’s approach isn’t just transactional—it’s transformational. Through her “Get Your House in Order” Life Planning Seminar Initiative, she offers vital education on credit, estate planning, budgeting, and homeownership. She serves as the Education Chair of the Houston Black Real Estate Association (HBREA), ensuring that a HUD-certified counselor and real estate industry professionals staff home-buying classes to equip consumers with the necessary tools.

She also launched the Homeownership and Financial Wellness Program (HFWP), a voluntary benefit for corporations, nonprofits, and churches that provides classes on paycheck-to-paycheck management, home buying, and financial literacy. This initiative helps employers boost employee retention while assisting families to build lasting wealth.

In addition to her business, Zelda serves on the board of the Houston Intercontinental Chamber of Commerce (HICC). She actively supports the Texas Realtors Political Action Committee (TREPAC), advocating for the protection of property rights and real estate education statewide. She also serves as an intercessor and on several committees at the Loving Word Fellowship Church under the leadership of Bishop Paul D. Landrew.

Having faced her challenges during the home-buying process, Zelda made it her mission to help others avoid the same uncertainty. She offers free buyer and seller consultations, focusing on needs versus wants, comfortable budgets, and realistic timelines. “Every buyer and seller is unique,” she explains, “so we tailor a plan to help them move forward with confidence.”

Through partnerships with organizations such as ACORN Housing, Easter Seals, and Third Ward Re-Ward, Zelda has supported many clients and community members on their journey toward greater financial stability and empowerment.
