From the outset of his career, Xinrong displayed an extraordinary passion for interior design. His enthusiasm led him to work at prestigious institutions, where he honed his skills and developed a distinct aesthetic. With substantial experience from Mantanghong Decoration Design Co and Beixin Decoration, Xinrong has continually driven excellence in China’s modern interior design landscape. Each project, whether a minimalist interior, a cutting-edge fashion line, or an innovative product concept, mirrors his commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new possibilities.
Xinrong Hu’s journey underscores the power of perseverance and creativity. Breaking into the competitive world of design is challenging, particularly given the industry’s constant evolution and high standards. Yet, Xinrong excelled by anticipating trends and understanding client needs, crafting works that are visually stunning and deeply functional.
What distinguishes Xinrong is his contemporary approach to design. He does not solely focus on aesthetics but also considers the broader impact of his work on the environment, society, and the end-user experience. This perspective has led to the creation of sustainable designs that are as responsible as they are beautiful. A prime example of Xinrong’s innovative approach is the ACE holding headquarters in Shanghai.
Situated in the prestigious Qianhai Free Trade Zone, this project integrates super-grade-A office buildings, top-tier apartments, and urban commerce, bringing together the world’s elite design teams. The office design aims to create premier business spaces, including headquarters offices, technology offices, and creative offices. Recognizing that great design requires a blend of diverse ideas and expertise, Xinrong actively collaborates with other professionals, from architects and engineers to artists and technologists. This collaborative approach enriches his projects, incorporating varied perspectives and innovative solutions that elevate the overall design.
The essence of the ocean is intricately woven into the aesthetic fabric of natural elements within the space. The design team explores the relationship between future office environments and urban development from four dimensions: fashion, technology, social interaction, and ecology. Benchmarking against top corporate headquarters, they have designed meeting areas, reception areas, and open office spaces, balancing the needs of working and hosting. Curved forms bring dramatic effects to the space, their versatile nature giving the office environment a fashionable technological feel and an avant-garde dynamic. Cool tones of blue, white, and grey spread calmly and orderly throughout the space, with winding curves outlining a modern technological sense. The entire space flows without barriers, with curved glass walls replacing traditional partitions. The open office area features irregularly shaped multi-combination desks, promoting free communication and unrestricted thinking. Private small cubicles, usable as small meeting rooms or conversation rooms, offer a more flexible and comfortable working experience.
The interplay of black and white, the alternation between void and solid, and the thoughtfully arranged spacing create a seamless connection between the interior and exterior of the office area. Permeable boundaries separate functional areas from dining spaces, ensuring the highest level of privacy and enjoyment for private banquets.
Bright, large glass windows and meticulously designed spatial layouts meet design needs while providing an excellent atmosphere for social gatherings. The space is highly expressive and dynamic, conveying a sense of freedom and lack of constraint. In spatial layout and movement design considerations, the designer adhered to the concept of “flowing space.” The walls are free-standing and independent, and the spaces interpenetrate, forming a fluid, interconnected, yet distinct environment.
Additionally, the headquarters boast state-of-the-art technology integration, from automated lighting and climate control systems to advanced audiovisual setups that support both productivity and collaboration. The use of sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems further highlights Xinrong’s commitment to environmentally responsible design. The furniture is carefully selected to blend aesthetics with ergonomics, ensuring comfort without compromising on style. Spaces are designed to be multifunctional, easily adaptable for different uses, whether for focused work, collaborative meetings, or social gatherings.
With a career that blends innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, Xinrong Hu is not just shaping the future of design—they are redefining what it means to be a modern designer. His work serves as a powerful reminder that great design is about more than just aesthetics; it’s about creating a better, more beautiful world for everyone.
