Artificial intelligence (AI) is the foundation layer of an entirely new civilization: changing how industries, businesses, and individuals operate in work and life. This level of influence ensures that AI will play a crucial role in the future, but not everyone is prepared for such a change. With THRIVE: The Antidote to Future Shock, Fredric Marshall, the founder and CEO of Quantum Learning, Inc., aims to help companies reorient themselves toward a future in AI.

A Background in Change Leadership

Marshall’s background is in identifying research-based behavioral patterns of top performers. He uses this experience to help global innovators scale those behaviors in order to achieve notable brand growth. Marshall’s career has long been centered on driving change, making strides in fields as diverse as tech and biopharma. Through his company, Quantum Learning, Inc., he has worked with major enterprises such as Apple, Pfizer, and Genentech to push change and continually secure their status as market leaders. To date, Marshall has trained more than 130,000 people in 14 countries and helped launch 74 brands. For him, transformational change is the basis of his career.

Of course, Marshall’s business expertise was not earned easily. To find success in change leadership, he has frequently been driven to reinvent himself and his own company.

“The world never stops changing. Winning products have lifecycles. Technology changes. Markets evolve… The way I’ve solved the need to reimagine and reinvent my company and myself is pretty straightforward: have a broad range of relationships with people from different worlds,” Marshall stated. “The right people simplify everything.”

Investment in AI Technology

Around 2020, Marshall’s new approach to leadership led him to create connections in AI technology. Recognizing the field’s potential for growth, he began investing in NVIDIA and AI startups. Since then, Marshall has invested in more than 25 AI startups, most being pre-seed, seed, and Series A.

“Steel literally changed the world,” Marshall explained. “AI is going to do the same thing, but a thousand times faster; and when I say a thousand, I literally mean 1,000x. Steel generated billions. AI is going to generate trillions.”

A Strategic Playbook for Harnessing Change

Supported by personal expertise, a forward-thinking mindset, and the right people, Marshall began to believe that “future shock” could be a major issue in and around 2027–2028. Recognizing this, he made the decision to write a book that could help people navigate imminent change. In his book, THRIVE: The Antidote to Future Shock, Marshall focuses on the internal, external, and shared journeys toward a better personal future. He strives to help people and businesses navigate the overwhelm and disruption of exponential change, teaching how to stay calm, focused, and effective as the world rapidly changes.

“It’s important because human-AI symbiosis is the new frontier of human creativity and exponential impact,” Marshall asserted. “If you want to amplify your story and scale your life, this book will show you how.”

A Vision for the Future

As industries, businesses, and individuals prepare to navigate imminent change, Marshall helps others recognize that AI is unleashing opportunity. His experience in leading global companies has taught him that anyone can achieve the same success, as long as they reorient themselves to the future and embrace the changes that are to come.

“The future is going to be amazing. My vision is to help as many people as I can to live a healthy, prosperous, and abundant life in the age of exponential change, because so many people are going to get left behind if we don’t give them an actionable path forward.”
