Evolve Executive Life Coaching Founder Shayla King Expands PH+ Lab to Support Leaders in Enhancing Performance, Influence, and Career Growth While Maintaining Well-Being.
(AUSTIN, Texas) ā Evolve Executive Life Coaching announced the expansion of the PH+ Lab, founder Shayla Kingās leadership training program designed to help senior leaders strengthen performance, expand influence, and pursue greater pay and promotion without sacrificing personal well-being.
The announcement reflects Kingās broader Performance + Happiness Formula, a framework created for ambitious leaders who want bigger professional outcomes and a life they can still enjoy. The PH+ approach is built for executives navigating pressure, visibility, and rising expectations while trying to avoid burnout, overwork, and the constant need to prove themselves.
āThe most successful and happiest leaders know how to manage their mind,ā said Shayla King, founder of Evolve Executive Life Coaching. āThatās what I teach executives.ā
King, a former Chief People Officer who reached the C-suite before 40, developed the PH+ Formula after years inside high-stakes corporate leadership environments. Her experience included leading senior teams in settings where performance was measured closely, executive presence mattered, and pressure continued to build as leaders advanced.
Before launching her coaching business, King worked in environments where results were expected, visibility was high, and internal politics shaped opportunity. She said many talented leaders are doing important work, but not always the kind of work that positions them for the next level in the eyes of decision-makers.
āIāve lived the pressure,ā King said. āI know what it feels like to carry the politics, the nonstop pace, and the prove-yourself energy.ā
King is certified in leadership and performance coaching through Brown University, and she describes her work as highly practical rather than theoretical. Her coaching focuses on how executives think, communicate, and lead when the stakes are high, particularly in moments that influence advancement, compensation, and leadership credibility.
Her philosophy was also shaped by personal experience. At 39, King survived a medical crisis that left her in a coma and on life support, followed by a recovery that required relearning how to walk and talk. She has said the experience changed how she thinks about postponed living and the belief that happiness should wait until after the next milestone.
āTomorrow isnāt promised,ā King said. āSo many leaders are postponing happiness for someday.ā
PH+ stands for Performance, Pay, and Promotion plus Happiness. Kingās premise is that career success and personal fulfillment need not be traded off. Through Evolve Executive Life Coaching, she works with leaders who want more scope, more influence, and more compensation, but do not want to pay for those gains with burnout, resentment, or disconnection from the rest of their lives.
āI definitely help clients with burnout,ā King said. āBut Iām not here to coach leaders into wanting less. I help them lead at a higher level while building a life that feels good to live.ā
King works with senior leaders at large enterprises, including organizations such as McKesson, EY, Koch Industries, NetApp, Kaiser, and Wayfair. Some coaching engagements are sponsored through leadership development initiatives, while others are started directly by senior leaders preparing for their next role or larger responsibilities.
Kingās model is built around four pillars: results, relationships, rituals, and mindset. In her framework, results focus on prioritization and executive-level outcomes; relationships center on influence, visibility, and support from those who shape opportunities; rituals address the habits that protect energy and consistency; and mindset connects the areas by shaping how leaders respond under pressure.
For King, mindset is not motivational language for its own sake. She views it as a performance variable that influences how leaders show up in critical moments. She said many senior professionals have learned to be competent, but not necessarily how to manage the internal pressure that comes with responsibility, including overthinking, people-pleasing, imposter syndrome, fear of exposure, and the need to keep proving value.
āMy clients are already high performers,ā King said. āBut they move differently after this work. They think differently. They feel differently. The stress and proving start to dissolve.ā
Originally developed through one-on-one executive coaching, the PH+ framework has expanded into the PH+ Lab, a group training program created to make Kingās methodology available to more senior leaders while maintaining an executive-level focus. The company said the program is especially relevant for leaders, including those in dual-career households, who want promotion and greater responsibility but already feel stretched too thin to sustain success in its current form.
King describes a high-performing executive as someone who can deliver strong results without operating under constant internal pressure. In her view, long-term success comes from replacing reactive, prove-yourself leadership with calm confidence, strategic visibility, and stronger self-positioning.
āThe leaders who win long term decide theyāre done proving,ā King said. āThey lead from calm confidence. They negotiate boldly. They stop shrinking themselves in rooms where they belong.ā
For King, the PH+ Lab represents more than a coaching offer. It is a structured approach to helping ambitious leaders build a better way to succeed, one that supports both professional growth and personal fulfillment.
āHigh performance and happiness are not opposites,ā King said. āTheyāre a decision. And once leaders see that, everything changes.ā
