Shannon Mary Bauer has been selling homes in Northeast Ohio since 2017. In that time, she has closed more than 185 transactions, building a reputation that speaks for itself in a market where trust is everything. She works with a wide range of clients, from young couples buying their first home to seasoned buyers searching for luxury properties. She also has a particular fondness for the farms and rural land that define much of the region, a landscape she has come to know well over the years. Originally from Southern California, Shannon has called Northeast Ohio home for 30 years. She is a mother of four adult children and a grandmother of two. Her path into real estate came after years of living in the community, raising her family, and watching the region grow and change. That personal connection to the area runs through everything she does, and it shapes the way she serves her clients. For Shannon, selling a home is never just a transaction. It is about understanding people, listening to what they need, and finding the right fit for their lives.
A Family Team with a Meaningful Name
Shannon’s team is small and close. It includes her daughter, Marissa Gebhardt, and their newest teammate, Aaliyah Rodriguez. They operate under the name The TEAM Group, a name that started as an acronym for Shannon’s four children: Trevor, Erik, Anna, and Marissa. The name stuck because it reflects how they actually work together day to day.
“We work as though there is no light between us,” Shannon explained. “Covering for each other, showing up for each other, and ultimately wrapping ourselves around our clients to ensure the best outcome always.”
The group is currently launching a new website at www.ahomeforyourworld.com. The concept behind the name reflects their philosophy. “We put everything we love, covet, collect, adore, protect inside our homes,” Shannon said. “Let us help you find the perfect spot for whatever makes up your world.”
Experience Over Brokerage Size

Shannon has worked at large brokerages and now operates in a smaller boutique setting. She sees no real difference in terms of what matters most. “The size of the brokerage does not matter, but rather the intellect and experience of the realtor,” she said. “My desire is to serve completely in every capacity and to solve problems, to be useful in every purpose.”
Having sold a substantial amount of real estate in a relatively short period of time, Shannon has encountered many of the problems and complications that can arise during a transaction. She has seen the issues firsthand and developed real solutions. That experience shapes how she approaches each new client and each new challenge.
Solving Real Problems for Real Families
What sets Shannon apart in a crowded market is her directness and her focus on solving real problems. Her clients often come with complicated situations: financing trouble, family trust issues, timing constraints, location concerns, and everything in between. She and her team work closely with each family to understand what they are facing before jumping to solutions.
“Our honest, ethical and straightforward approach allows us to pull our seat up close so that we can become a part of the solution because we understand the problem so well,” Shannon said. “Families trust us.”
That trust is reflected in how her business operates. She has never purchased a lead. Every client comes from referrals or her direct sphere of contacts. In an industry that spends heavily on advertising and digital marketing, that says something meaningful about the relationships she builds.
Recognition and Mentorship

Shannon earned recognition as an ICON agent with eXp and is a certified real estate mentor. The mentoring work matters to her deeply. New agents often pass their licensing exams without learning the practical side of the job: how to run appointments, work with lockboxes, write contracts, handle inspections, and develop a strategy. Shannon takes the time to teach those things because she knows how much they matter.
“Being available to new agents to really teach them all the things they don’t learn on paper is something very few do,” she noted.
In July 2024, she was featured by Cleveland Real Producers for “Service with a Heart,” an acknowledgment of her commitment to both clients and colleagues.
Rooted in Northeast Ohio
Shannon’s love for rural living fits naturally with the farmland and open spaces of Northeast Ohio. She brings that appreciation into her work with clients looking for property in the area, whether they want acreage, a working farm, or simply a quieter way of life away from the city. After three decades in the region, she knows the landscape and the communities well.
In a business full of noise and constant pitches, Shannon has built something quieter and more grounded. She shows up, solves problems, and earns trust. That approach has worked for her and her team, and it continues to bring people to her door without the need for purchased leads or flashy marketing. For Shannon, being useful, informed, skilled, knowledgeable, thoughtful, capable, and memorable are the traits that matter most in this work.
