Rustam Gilfanov is known not only as an IT businessman, but also is a co-founder of a large and successful IT company. At the same time he is as a venture partner of the LongeVC fund.

FAMILY

Date of birth: January 6, 1983

Place of birth: the village of Basim (the Perm Territory).

Parents: The mother was a teacher, and the father was a military man.

Childhood preferences: mathematical sciences and science fiction.

EDUCATION

As soon as Rustam Gilfanov obtained his secondary education, he became entered the Udmurt State Institute. In 2005, he got a law degree. Simultaneously he managed to master another profession – Insolvency Officer. During his students years Rustam Gilfanov actively participated in numerous events and conferences.

CAREER PATH

Student years of Rustam Gilfanov coincided with the rapid development of Internet. When obtaining his law degree, Rustam got interested in information technology. Consequently, he had got an idea to establish his own IT startup. At the beginning of his IT career Rustam Gilfanov gained great experience in working on several unique international IT projects. His strong knowledge in jurisprudence made a considerable contribution to the Rustam’s confidence.

Supported by his partners, in 2006 Rustam Gilfanov announced the establishment of a small IT company. Nowadays this company is recognized as one of the largest players in the financial, gaming and marketing software market. The company has developed more than 100 unique gaming applications and established offices in Cyprus and Malta. His company performed productive work in Latvia and Ukraine.

Since establishing the company, Rustam Gilfanov has developed a new mode of modern entrepreneurship in his brainchild. The principle focus was and is still being made on high quality support to young people displaying high results and having talents, as well as on the creation of the most favorable conditions for the IT staff growth. Only for 5 years the number of the company staff has increased up to 1,000 employees. Moreover, each employee of the company has been provided with all required opportunities for applying their working potential. 

CHARITY

In addition to above, Rustam Gilfanov is a benefactor who regularly integrates projects whose aim is to develop corporate social responsibility into an IT company. Rustam focuses on creating and developing education projects for young people.

LakiBuks is one of the most famous charity projects implemented by Rustam Gilfanov. In its turn he was supported by the Ya – Maybutne Ukrainy Fund. This project aims at supporting talented authors and promoting non-fiction literature in the Ukrainian language for teenagers.

LakiBuks was created in 2017 during the Book Arsenal festival. In a year, the project partnered in the program for children in this extremely important book festival for the whole Ukraine. LakiBuks attended a lot of cities both in Ukraine and Europe.

The LakiBuks project began with the co-work with a number of libraries for children situated in the Eastern Ukraine. At the moment, it occupies 200 libraries throughout the whole country. Due to this project, more than 5,000 teenage books on popular science topics were distributed in libraries in 2018. First of all, books were provided to the libraries found in villages of the Southern and Eastern regions that have no non-fiction in the Ukrainian language. Rustam Gilfanov considers the LakiBuks project to be one of the most important for him.

Another important initiative actively supported by Rustam Gilfanov is a restoration of the children’s library in Kyiv and its transformation into a unique library hub. This idea was implemented as part of the Biblioteky Maybutniogo project. In the library there is a computer class. Here visitors can take programming courses from the company leaders. This project was planned as a one-time one, however, with time it covered the entire Ukraine.

Rustam Gilfanov has been actively co-working with the Ya – Maybutne Ukrainy Fund and sponsored a great number of social initiatives. Besides, the businessman financially supported those families that have found themselves in a rough life situation. It is also worth mentioning that he offers charity assistance to single mothers. 

PRIVATE INVESTMENTS

Not long ago, Rustam Gilfanov informed about his intention to stop his operating business and concentrate on investing in the most interesting and perspective IT projects in the areas that are rapidly developing these days, e.g., gaming, streaming video, and financial technologies.
