Lucy H. Lennon did not start in real estate. Before she ever sold a home, she ran restaurants. She moved from Old Chatham, New York, to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 2000 to open the first of two sushi bars in the city. That chapter shaped how she works today. She knows what it means to build something from the ground up, to deal with people directly, and to handle the pressure that comes with running a business in a downtown that depends on its reputation.

In 2009, she retired from the restaurant business and became a realtor. Now she owns Main Street Real Estate Group, located right on Main Street in Historic Downtown Bethlehem, a street recently named the number one Main Street in America. Her path has not been a straight line, but it has given her something useful. She understands both the residential side and the commercial side of the business because she has lived on both. For Lucy, real estate is less about closing a deal and more about helping people through one of the bigger decisions of their lives, with steady support along the way.

A Background That Crosses Into Many Rooms

Lucy describes herself as a true concierge realtor, and the word fits the way she has set up her business. She does not work alone. She has a full-time marketing team, zoning and planning consultants, attorneys, clean-out crews, certified staging staff, and a full roster of contractors, electricians, and plumbers ready when a client needs them. That kind of network does not come together by accident. It comes from years of knowing the right people and earning their trust over time. Her past roles add to that depth. She served as Chair of the local business association and worked alongside the local parking authority, experiences that gave her a clear view of how the city runs and what local owners actually deal with day to day.

How She Works With Clients

The part of the job Lucy returns to most often is the human side of it. Buying or selling a home carries weight, and she knows it can feel scary when the path ahead is unknown. Her answer is to make a plan early and stay ahead of the problems before they arrive. “We make a plan, we take the emotional aspect out and help our clients navigate the business side of the transaction while taking note of their feelings,” she explained. That balance matters to her. She does not ignore how a client feels, but she also does not let emotion run the decision. By being proactive and naming the issues that might come up, she tries to take some of the fear out of the process. Clients are left with a clearer view of what to expect, which is often the thing that helps them most.

Helping the People Who Need It Most

There is a steadiness to how Lucy talks about her clients. “We love helping those who need help the most,” she said. That care shows up outside of work, too. She does hospice for senior dogs and keeps and rescues Koi fish, small details that say something about the kind of patience she brings to her days. She is also a mother of five and a grandmother of four, which means she understands the weight of family decisions in a way that goes beyond paperwork. Those parts of her life are not separate from her work. They are part of why people feel comfortable handing her something as personal as their home.

Growth and a New Chapter on Main Street

Lucy’s business has grown steadily over the past three years, enough that her recent move counts as a real expansion. Main Street Real Estate Group now sits right across from the Hotel Bethlehem, named the number one historic hotel in America. The location keeps her close to the public and helps her stay tuned to what people in the area are actually looking for. Her record backs up the growth. She was voted Best Commercial Realtor in the Lehigh Valley and Best Realtor in the Valley by Lehigh Valley Magazine, and she has held the number one spot in the city of Bethlehem from 2020 until today.

A Realtor Rooted in Her Community

What stands out about Lucy is how grounded she stays. She has built a business that leans on real relationships, careful planning, and honest care for the people she serves. In a market where trust is everything, that consistency is what keeps her clients coming back.
