A Dream Rooted in Family and Architecture
Leila’s passion for architecture and design was instilled in her from a young age. “My dad was an architect engineer, and my mom was in clothing design. Architecture was my dream,” she recalls. Growing up with such creative influences, it was no surprise that Leila pursued a career in architectural design. Her journey brought her to the United States, she grew up in New York from an early age, and she worked with a great architect from France. This experience was pivotal in shaping her career.
“When I was working for him, he inspired me to find a career in real estate,” Leila shares. The inspiration she drew from her mentor led her to New York, where she began her journey in real estate in 2016. Within her first year, Leila was already making waves, securing a spot in the top 10 agents in her office. “I was networking a lot, going to every event, every open house,” she says, emphasizing the importance of building connections.
Leila’s work ethic and ability to connect with international clients set her apart in the field. “When I started working in NY, I did deals with clients from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai. I felt connected with them. It was enjoyable hearing their culture,” she explains. Her success in New York laid the foundation for expanding her horizons. Today, Leila works with developers and investors in Miami and Dubai, Saudi Arabia, continuing to build on her impressive portfolio.
Tips for Success in Real Estate
Leila’s journey to becoming a high-level real estate advisor is marked by three key strategies that she believes are essential for success.
1. Networking
Networking is at the heart of Leila’s success. Her background working in the Javits Center, where she helped organize international events, gave her a broad network of contacts. “When I was getting my license, I let everyone in Manhattan know, and I was surprised by the response. Everybody started contacting me,” she recounts. Leila’s ability to connect with people from various backgrounds has been instrumental in her career.
2. Charisma and Passion
Leila’s love for real estate is palpable. “I honestly love everything about real estate,” she says. Her genuine passion for her work shines through in her interactions with clients and colleagues. This enthusiasm not only helps her build strong relationships but also drives her to excel in her field. “I have a lot of international friends and enjoy different cultures,” Leila adds, highlighting how her charisma and passion help her connect with clients from around the world.
3. Persistence and Hard Work
Leila’s journey hasn’t been without challenges, but her persistence has always seen her through. “I have three degrees, and I just got my MBA from Berkeley,” she notes. Her dedication to continuous learning and improvement is evident in her achievements. Despite taking a break to focus on her family, Leila is now returning to her career with renewed vigor. “After two years dedicating myself to my newborn son, I’m coming back to work stronger than ever now,” she declares. Her story is a testament to the importance of perseverance and hard work.
Looking to the Future
Leila’s dream is to be a top producer at an international level. “My goal is to sell luxury real estate and specialize on an international level. I like to work with international clients,” she says. Her ambition is to build an international team and continue connecting with clients worldwide. “I want my dream to become a top producer with my partner, who has an Argentinian background. On an international level, it gives you the ability to travel and see the world. This is my goal, to have this freedom and to travel,” Leila shares.
