When you’re buying or selling property in Lake Tahoe, the stakes are high. Navigating the regulatory landscape can be challenging without the guidance of an experienced real estate professional.
A born and raised Tahoe local, Kimberly has ranked among the Top 15 agents in the Tahoe Sierra MLS for the North & West Shores of Lake Tahoe over the past several years. Her success isn’t about aggressive sales tactics; it’s about knowing the Tahoe area and using that knowledge to help her clients make well-informed, confident decisions.
“I grew up here,” Kimberly says. “I know what makes Tahoe special, and I also know how challenging it can be to navigate the regulatory side of things. My job is to make that process as smooth as possible for my clients.”
A Foundation Built on Mentorship and Hard Work
Kimberly credits much of her early learning to her father, Mark Moore, a top-producing Lake Tahoe Realtor who’s been respected in the community for over 40 years. Working alongside him gave her early exposure to exceptional properties and complex transactions. But while that mentorship opened doors, her own drive and professionalism are what have supported her continued success in the market year after year.
She came into real estate armed with a Marketing degree from the University of Arizona and prior marketing experience, which gave her a strategic, data-informed approach to selling homes. Combined with her deep knowledge of the Tahoe market and large local network, she’s built a reputation for producing consistent results while keeping the process organized and stress-free for her clients.
Navigating Tahoe’s Unique Challenges

One of the biggest challenges for buyers and sellers in Lake Tahoe is understanding the layers of regulation that come with owning property here, especially along the shoreline. The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, five different counties around the lake, and various fire districts that serve the area, all have strict rules about what can and cannot be done with properties in the Tahoe basin. For someone unfamiliar with the process, it can feel overwhelming.
Kimberly and her team, The Moore Team, specialize in lakefront and lakeview properties, which are often heavily scrutinized by the many governing agencies in the area. They work with clients who need expert insight into the value of piers, buoys, boat lifts, lake views, lake frontage, HOA amenities, etc. They know how to carefully represent a property and position it in the best light in the market. They guide clients through the regulatory maze with clarity and confidence.
“A lot of people come to Tahoe dreaming of living the Tahoe lifestyle,” Kimberly explains. “But they don’t always realize how complex homeownership in the area can be. We make sure they fully understand what they’re buying, what’s possible, and the factors that could impact their property over time.”
That kind of transparency has earned her the trust of clients and peers throughout the region. She’s known for her strong negotiation skills, but also for being honest and ethical. She doesn’t push clients into decisions. She listens to their goals and makes sure every experience is as personalized as possible.
Real Numbers, Real Impact
Since forming The Moore Team, Kimberly and her team have sold over $350 million in properties in the Tahoe-Truckee region. In the past five years alone, her MLS-recorded sales have exceeded $78 million. Her team has collectively exceeded $250 million during that same short timeframe, and those figures don’t even include several significant off-market transactions.
As a Broker Associate, the highest level of real estate licensure, Kimberly brings exceptional expertise and leadership to every client relationship. But she’s careful not to let the numbers overshadow what really matters, which is the people behind each sale.
Kimberly just sold a lakefront lot in Homewood for $5.6 million this month and she is assisting another lakefront client in negotiating a contract which is close to agreement. While she keeps client details strictly confidential, her discretion reflects the integrity and trustworthiness she’s known for.
The Moore Team also recently launched a new lakefront listing in Tahoe Vista for $7,250,000, which they were able to get into contract within two weeks on the market, and is due to close this month. They have several remarkable properties coming to market in 2026, both on and off the lake.
A Commitment to the Community
For Kimberly, this work isn’t just about closing deals. It’s about helping people discover the Tahoe lifestyle, which she feels so fortunate to live herself. She’s organized, ethical, and deeply committed to her craft.
Her reputation is built on consistency, professionalism, and genuine client care. These are the qualities that matter when someone is making one of the biggest decisions of their life.
