After earning her Master’s Degree from Cornell’s prestigious Hotel School, she made the pivotal decision to relocate to Florida, where she would build a career spanning hospitality operations and real estate development. Her entrepreneurial spirit emerged early when she launched her first small business with partners in Napa Valley in 2007, eventually transitioning into residential real estate in 2016. But it was in 2023 that Jennifer’s path took what she considers its most meaningful turn. When the opportunity arose to purchase Imagination Realty in Celebration—the town where she had raised her own family—she knew it was more than just a business decision. It was a homecoming. In 2005, Jennifer had introduced a fellow Cornellian, Kathy Carlson, to her mother, Ann Whelan, and together they opened the doors of Imagination Realty. Kathy’s extensive background in real estate paired well with Ann’s success as an office manager. Over 18 years as Broker-Owner, Kathy built Imagination Realty to be a thriving real estate brokerage as Celebration grew. Buying the agency from Kathy, along with gaining the opportunity to work alongside her mother, Jennifer was excited about continuing to offer the family-focused boutique service that Kathy Carlson and her family have nurtured in the Greater Orlando area.

Yet for Jennifer, these figures represent something far more meaningful—1,600 families who found their perfect home, 1,600 dreams that were realized in the place she calls home.
