Manda Worthington, CEO and founder of Mae & Co. Creative, built her brand with pure passion and hard work starting from the ground up. You might recognize Manda’s name and brand from her work in flawlessly orchestrating the stunning three-day wedding event of fitness influencer and content creator Whitney Simmons. Other featured projects include the Amangiri luxury wedding, Timber Cove Resort wedding, and the Rosewood Miramar beach hotel wedding. Mae & Co continues to create beautiful, unforgettable wedding celebrations for luxury clientele. With Manda being the Chief Creative Director, her influence is illustrated through all of their events. She encapsulates an elevated, luxury experience in all of their work.
At the beginning of Mae & Co, Manda juggled sixty-hour work weeks at her full time job, while planning and coordinating weddings on the weekend. Manda is a true hustler– on top of working and event planning, she did market research, gained valuable experience, and solely invested her own funds to start Mae & Co. She started undeniably from scratch, with no formal college education, relying on herself, her knowledge, her will power and her confidence to achieve success. She hopes to be an inspiration to other entrepreneurs and provide educational content to help them also reach their goals.
Manda believes in being good to people, and she’s learned that when you’re honest and real, people want to work with you. Something that sets Mae & Co apart from others in the industry is their genuine care and support of their clients and vendors alike. “We are able to have fun, laugh, sit and cry, and be there for our clients.” Manda is a huge proponent of treating others with respect and kindness– she wants everyone on her team, as well as clients, to feel seen and heard.
Manda prides herself on her work ethic and grit, as well as her ability to succeed despite limited resources. She finds joy in building from scratch and helping others do the same. “From building businesses, to building marketing plans, to building a team, to building an entire wedding venue in the middle of nowhere – I love to create something from nothing, both artistically and professionally.” She believes in willpower and feels grateful for her natural inkling towards motivation.
Manda isn’t just an experienced wedding planner– she has successfully founded three thriving, separate businesses from scratch, and hopes to keep creating. She has huge aspirations and hopes to break into more creative markets. “I don’t just want to plan weddings, I want to plan the most extravagant events in the world.” Manda also hopes to be a source of education for other event planners and those in the luxury industry. She thrives by helping others succeed.
