Before launching a clean beauty brand, Uche Ekhator Mobayode shaped international policy at the World Bank. As a Ph.D. economist, her days were filled with global development research, high-level strategy, and the kind of data modeling that drives world-changing decisions. But behind the spreadsheets and boardrooms, another story was unfolding. Uche was a new mom navigating the tender terrain of postpartum life with two babies and a growing awareness of what it meant to care for her own skin—and theirs.

The Search for Gentle, Effective Skincare

Motherhood opened her eyes to something the data had yet to reveal: what appeared to be a gap in the skincare market. Uche couldn’t find products that were consistently clean, safe for sensitive skin, and effective enough for the whole family. Many seemed to be filled with questionable ingredients or catered only to babies. The rest often left her skin irritated or underwhelmed.

So, she did what any seasoned strategist would do: she turned the research lens on herself. Through her consulting firm, XREINN, she used a robust data-driven approach to analyze skincare products, ingredient integrity, and consumer concerns. She examined social media conversations, studied ingredient lists, and explored market data. What she found suggested her hunch might be correct.

People were searching for gentle, effective skincare, not just products with trendy labels or unsubstantiated claims, but non-toxic, science-backed formulations made with care.

Introducing Gently Radiant Skin

Out of that discovery came Gently Radiant Skin, a family-friendly skincare brand grounded in both scientific precision and emotional truth. Launching in Q4 2025, the brand plans to offer a full lineup of facial and body care products, cold-process bar soaps, clean fragrances, and gentle formulations designed to cater to every stage of life.

What sets Gently Radiant apart is not only the quality of its ingredients but the purpose behind them. Each formula is crafted with clinical insights and real-life experience in mind. This is skincare for moms, caregivers, and anyone with sensitive skin. It’s clean beauty made with intention.

Redefining What It Means to Glow

Leaving her career at the World Bank was not without challenges. Uche faced moments of uncertainty, identity shifts, and the pressure to juggle it all. But in the space she carved out, she found a new definition of success grounded in listening, healing, and creating.

“I created Gently Radiant Skin because I couldn’t find what I needed,ā€ she says. ā€œAnd I had a feeling I wasn’t the only one.”

Her background in policy research gave her a unique edge, but her motherhood journey gave her heart. Gently Radiant Skin stands at the intersection of data and devotion, bringing thoughtful, science-backed solutions to a marketplace that sometimes overlooks softness.
