Kimberly Kristen Squaglia works as a real estate agent at House Real Estate in Sacramento, serving buyers throughout the Sacramento area. Her background as an artist shapes how she approaches every property and every client conversation.
Kimberly was born and raised in East Sacramento. After high school, she spent 15 years living in other cities, including Cape Cod, Brooklyn, and San Francisco. She earned a Master’s in Art during that time. Eventually, she came back to Sacramento, the place she always felt drawn to return to.
“There’s truly no place like Sacramento, and it’s such a privilege to get to play home matchmaker for families, retirees, and first-time buyers alike in my favorite city,” Kimberly said.
That time away gave her something most agents might not have. She has the insider knowledge of someone who grew up here, combined with the perspective of someone who lived elsewhere and chose to return. It helps her guide buyers through competitive neighborhoods with a clearer sense of what makes Sacramento special.
Seeing Potential Where Others See Numbers
Most real estate agents focus on square footage, location, and comparable sales. Kimberly looks at those things too, but she also considers how natural light moves through a room or how a floor plan that seems strange on paper might actually create something beautiful in practice.
“Any time you can bring an artist’s perspective to a field that’s generally seen mostly as transactional, you’ll naturally disrupt things a bit with a different approach,” she explained.
She comes from a family full of general building contractors, which adds another layer to how she evaluates properties. She can spot both the aesthetic possibilities and the practical realities of renovation work. That combination helps clients see homes they may have overlooked and understand what it would take to make those spaces work for them.
Working With Every Kind of Buyer

Kimberly’s clients range from first-time buyers seeking homes where they can raise their children to retirees looking for comfort and quiet. The goals vary, but the underlying need stays the same. Everyone is trying to find their version of a dream home for this particular moment in their life.
“It’s an honor to walk that journey with each of them and hopefully guide them to the perfect landing place, which requires an ability to balance reality with possibility,” Kimberly said.
The ideal outcome, in her view, is helping clients close on homes they’re genuinely excited about. Often, those homes are in established neighborhoods that clients thought were beyond their reach. She helps them see not just what a property is now but what it could become with the right vision.
Part of Something Bigger
Kimberly is proud to work with House Real Estate, a team that has accomplished significant milestones in just five years. The company crossed the billion-dollar mark this year and has helped more than 1,400 families make life-changing moves. The team received the award for Outstanding Large Team at the Sacramento Real Producers awards in October and has been voted the top boutique real estate group in Sacramento.
But what stands out most to everyone at House is the community work. The team has collectively given back hundreds of hours to local nonprofits and causes across the Sacramento area. Everyone there takes pride in being more than just agents closing deals.
When the Work Day Ends
Outside of real estate, Kimberly spends time in her studio painting. She and her husband, Tod, collect vinyl records with their kids, Ben and Aly. They regularly explore Sacramento’s music and food scene, often accompanied by their two dogs, Sparky and Birdie.
It all ties back to the same thread. She looks for beauty and possibility in unexpected places, whether that’s on a canvas, in a neglected fixer-upper, or in the way a family talks about what home means to them. That perspective is what she brings to every client relationship at House Real Estate.
