Cindy Montgomery has spent most of her life in Southwest Missouri, and that long connection to the area shapes the way she works in real estate every day. She has been in the industry for more than twenty years, working alongside her husband, who has been in the business for nearly forty years. Together, they have built a steady and consistent partnership rooted in years of shared experience and mutual respect for the work.
Outside of work, Cindy keeps things simple. She enjoys time with her family and has a soft spot for her animals. Southwest Missouri is not just where she does business. It is where she grew up, where she built her life, and where she knows the streets, neighborhoods, and the people who fill them. That grounded way of life carries into how she treats her clients. There is no pretense, no rehearsed pitch. Just a person who knows her community and takes her work seriously. Clients notice this quickly, and many come back for years because of it.
What Sets Her Apart
When asked what sets her apart, Cindy does not point to anything flashy. She points to presence. “My mantra in Real Estate is to make it a personal mission to BE THERE for my clients, not to view them as a transaction or a paycheck,” she said. For her, integrity is not a talking point. It is the foundation of how she lives and works. “I believe integrity HAS to be the biggest part of both my personal and professional life. Making my clients’ dreams a reality is the biggest reward.” It is a quiet kind of philosophy, but it shapes every interaction she has, from the first showing to the closing table.
Standing By Clients Through the Hard Parts

That belief shows up in the way she handles the harder parts of the job. Buying or selling a home is, for most people, the largest financial decision they will ever make. It is also deeply emotional. Cindy understands that, and she sees her role as more than paperwork and price negotiations. She wants to be the buffer between her clients and the stress that often comes with the process. “To always have my clients’ backs even when things get tough,” she explained. That kind of steadiness is remembered long after the closing papers are signed. It also makes a difference when a deal hits a bump, and someone needs a calm voice on the other end of the line.
A Year of Recognition and Results
Her work has not gone unnoticed, reflecting the trust of her clients and the number of successful transactions she has completed. This achievement earned her the Silver Medal for Excellence from the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors. For Cindy, the real measure of a good year is the number of people she helped along the way.
Looking Ahead
She is not slowing down either. Cindy and her team are currently launching a new website to give clients more information and easier access at their fingertips. “Last year was an amazing year, and we are striving to make this year even more successful,” she said. The goal is not to grow for the sake of growing. It is to keep serving people well and make the experience smoother for the next client who walks through the door.
A Quiet Strength
What stands out about Cindy is how little she leans on the usual real estate language. There is no posturing, no oversized promises. She talks about her clients the way she talks about her family, with care and patience. After two decades in the business, she still treats each transaction as something that matters, because she knows it matters to the person on the other side. That is the quiet strength of how Cindy Montgomery works, and it is why people in Southwest Missouri keep coming back to her.
