The real estate business can sometimes feel transactional, impersonal, and rushed. Christine Trabattoni has worked to prove that it doesn’t necessarily have to be this way. Working along the Jersey Shore, she has built a practice rooted in something many agents talk about, but fewer actually deliver: genuine human connection.

A Second Career Built on Purpose

Born and raised at the Jersey Shore, Christine didn’t start in real estate right away. She spent many years raising her family, married her husband Mark for 30 years, and watched her two sons, Alec and Jack, grow into individuals she couldn’t be prouder of. At home, there’s a 17-year-old dog named Charlie and a three-year-old pig named Iggy. After those years of focusing on family, she transitioned into real estate as a second career and has since built a reputation as a well-regarded agent.

But her path wasn’t without struggle. As a breast cancer survivor, Christine says that her journey has inspired her to approach life with even more purpose and joy. It changed how she approached everything, including her work. She brings that sense of intentionality to every transaction, conversation, and relationship she builds with a client.

The Business of Caring

Christine is a full-service realtor specializing in residential and commercial real estate. But her involvement goes far beyond the typical duties. She’s engaged in staging, organizing, clean-outs, consultation, design, packing, and unpacking. She enjoys these aspects of her work, and that enthusiasm comes through when she talks about it.

“Passion and compassion, sweet and simple,” she said when asked what makes her different. “I have cried with my sellers on closing day, locking their front door for the last time. I have taken the top down on my convertible with my 85-year-old client watching her laugh.”

Many people in the industry say you should not get personal or attached to your clients. Christine disagrees. She takes pride in the one-on-one relationship she builds with each person she works with. Over 90 percent of her business comes through word of mouth, and her clients trust that when they refer someone, they’ll receive the same level of care. Many of those clients have become part of her extended circle, with some joining her at Thanksgiving.

“Trust is emotion, but yet a decision at the same time,” she explained. “My clients will always get both.”

Challenges, Not Problems

Christine doesn’t see obstacles the way most people do. She prefers the word “challenge” over “problem,” and she believes challenges can transform into opportunities. Some are unreasonable, some are not. But the ideal outcome, she says, is always peace. Peace of mind and peace in your soul.

On the back of her business card, there’s a line that captures her philosophy: “You may not always end up where you thought you were going, but you will always end up where you were meant to be.” She believes that applies to every aspect of life, not just real estate.

It’s that kind of steady, grounded perspective that encourages clients to return. They know she isn’t just trying to close a deal. She’s trying to help them find the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons.

What Comes Next

Christine has earned recognition throughout her career. She was named Rookie of the Year, became a Top Producer with the highest GCI, received the Red Ruby Award, and was recognized as a Top Commission Producer. However, what excites her most now is continuing to grow her business in a way that stays true to her values while continuing to innovate for buyers and sellers. She’s also looking forward to partnering with her son, Jack, and expanding the family business together.

For Christine Trabattoni, real estate has never been solely about the transaction. It’s about the people. The conversations. The tears and the laughter. The trust that gets built one interaction at a time. She’s an animal lover, a beach enthusiast, and someone who finds joy in being out in nature. But more than anything, she’s a realtor who shows up fully for the people who need her. And in a business that can often feel rushed and impersonal, that makes all the difference.
