Harlem Fashion week today announced that award-winning publicist Rocky has been named showrunner and publicist for 2021 Harlem Fashion week (HFW), and R&D Entertainment Agency will execute the task and the assignments of the brand. Harlem Fashion Week season 9 returned to NYFW, live on FRIDAY SEP. 3rd (7:00Pm-11:00 p.m. EST), and will feature global superstars and the hottest diverse-spanning designers as it rings in its ninth season.
R.&.D Entertainment Agency has been a spectacular Public relations firm that has different arms and legs inside the entertainment industry. Established in 2009, the founder Rochel “Rocky” Pamphile who attended Virginia State University and Long Island University has showcased his efforts and results for the last several years. After winning Publicist of the Year in New York in 2019, he eventually decided to expand internationally and develop another company entitled R & D Entrainment Agency Canada. With two outstanding internships targeting college students, Rocky has leadership experience and developed a work ethic that supersedes behind the scenes.
After an extraordinary search for the right publicist, Yvonee Jewnell and Tandra Birkett owners of Harlem Fashion Week, New York LLC decided to hire R&D Entertainment agency for their return for season 9. Established in 2016, Harlem Fashion Week has created a platform for the rising stars in the fashion design industry for the past nine years and counting. Harlem Fashion Week has welcomed thousands of attendees over the past 5 years, with followers in 30 countries.
The official Fashion show took place on September 5th outside of The Adam Clayton Powell office in New York City. There were more than 10 fashion designers, award ceremonies, and a fashion exhibition all took place during Harlem Fashion Week. With the presence of Bevy smith, Dapper Dan and Chivona Renee-Newsome, this sold-out show had more than enough photographers, media, and virtual showcases.
“Rocky is a global publicist and a visionary who has incredible foresight and experience in the Entertainment industry, and we couldn’t wait to see how he evolves Harlem Fashion week,” said Yasmin Nedd, executive for PMTV.
Rocky’s most popular efforts were the production for the BET Awards, Rihanna’s Diamond Ball, and Ashanti’s movie première for the musical Stuck. From red carpets, press, virtual reality, media, photographers, journalists, and writers, R&D Entertainment has developed a relationship with the media that we have never seen before. The agency surprised Brooklyn, New York, with a production for Budweiser festival entitled “Celebrating the Life of Biggie” that included Lil Kim, The Lox, and Busta Rhymes.
Rocky has worked with or and worked among celebrities such as Jamie Foxx, Paris Hilton, Tyler Perry, and Michael B Jordan. All these outstanding accomplishments then led him to earn a nomination for the 2nd annual Black Media Honor Awards. R&D Entertainment earned the nominations for Agency of the Year and Public Relations Icon Award. While maintaining a humble spirit, Rocky also took a role as casting director for a network’s reality TV show.
