From the age of 10, Akshay was captivated by business programmes like Dragonsā Den, The Apprentice, and Shark Tank. These shows sparked his entrepreneurial spirit and set the stage for his future ventures. His parents, who ran a successful retail business for 15 years, provided him with invaluable insights into the workings of the business world, further fuelling his ambitions.
Parallel to his business interests, Akshay developed a love for chess at the age of 8. The strategic skills and discipline he gained from chess have been instrumental in shaping his approach to business, helping him navigate complex challenges and make well-considered decisions.
Akshay’s entrepreneurial journey began at 13, when he started power selling on eBay. This early experience in e-commerce was complemented by his involvement in a large YouTube gaming community, where he received product sponsorships from major companies. These ventures honed his skills in digital marketing and brand management, laying the groundwork for his future successes.
Although Akshay’s passion for business was clear from an early age, he chose to prioritise his education, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree and pursuing a career as a software professional. Despite this, his entrepreneurial ambitions remained undiminished. In 2022, he launched CellĆØau, a brand dedicated to male skincare and beard care. The success of CellĆØau was underscored by its feature in prestigious publications such as GQ and Vogue magazine, marking a significant achievement in the skincare industry.
Building on this success, Akshay introduced CLEARSIPĀ® in 2023. CLEARSIPĀ® offers self-cleaning water bottles equipped with advanced UV technology that effectively eradicates bacteria and viruses, ensuring purified water aligning with Akshay’s commitment to innovation and health. The innovative nature of CLEARSIPĀ® has recently caught the attention of easyJet airline, who have approached Akshay expressing their admiration for the brand and product with talks ongoing to feature the brand in their in-flight magazine, highlighting the brandās quality and appeal.
In addition to founding CellĆØau and CLEARSIPĀ®, Akshay has meticulously built both brands from the ground up, overseeing every aspect from website development to comprehensive marketing management.
Outside of his professional achievements, Akshay leads a vibrant personal life. He is a self-taught amateur pianist, a fitness enthusiast who enjoys going to the gym, and a passionate Arsenal fan.
