Tammie Cox is a real estate agent with Chase International, serving clients across Northern Nevada. She brings a genuine understanding of the communities she works in and a straightforward approach to helping families find their next home.
Roots in Northern Nevada
Tammie grew up in Northern Nevada, and while she moved away for several years, she always knew that it would be the place she would ultimately settle. She married her next-door neighbor and best friend, Keith, and together they are raising two kids, a dog, two cats, and a bearded dragon. When she is not working, her family enjoys camping, skiing, exploring new places, and taking road trips to explore rural Nevada. She also spends a lot of her free time working on houses and is a true DIYer at heart.
“We have found a lot of success in building wealth through sweat equity, as my parents and grandparents did before me,” Tammie explained. That hands-on experience with home improvement gives her practical insight into what makes a property a good investment. She understands what it takes to turn a house into a home.
Her deep connection to the area means she knows the neighborhoods, the schools, the small details, and the hidden local gems that matter to families looking to put down roots. For Tammie, this is not just a place to work; it is home.
A Decade in the Industry
This year marks her tenth year in the real estate industry. For most of that time, she worked behind the scenes as an admin and then as a broker. Those years gave her a complete view of how the business operates from the inside out. She learned the systems, the paperwork, the marketing, and the details that can impact a transaction.
About four years ago, she made the decision to step into her own full-time agent role. Since then, she has continued to grow and build a client base that keeps coming back and referring others. Her background in operations and marketing gives her an edge when it comes to managing the moving pieces of a deal.
A Different Kind of Agent

What sets Tammie apart is her lack of pressure. “While I am in sales, I am not salesy at all,” she said. “I am a no-pressure agent who truly wants what is best for my clients and their futures.”
She describes herself as deeply empathetic, someone who finds it easy to put herself in other people’s shoes. This quality often leads to lasting relationships with the people she works with. “I often become great friends with my clients and get to know them and their families deeply,” she said.
Her ideal clients are families in their late thirties to late forties who are looking to sell their current home and move into something better suited for the next chapter. Many of them come to her with the same concerns. They worry about selling their house before they can find something else. They worry about being caught without a place to live.
Tammie addresses those concerns directly. She walks her clients through every tool and strategy available to put them in the best position possible. Her role is to help them feel confident and supported throughout the process. She guides them through the whole journey, from start to finish.
Recognized Work
Her work has not gone unnoticed. She received the Reno News and Review’s 2024 Realtor of the Year award and was named among the Women’s Council Top 25 in Real Estate in 2023. The year before, in 2022, she won the Stitser Properties Best Year Over Year Growth Award and just recently achieved The Chase International’s All-Star award for 2025. While she holds other accolades as well, she prefers to let her client relationships speak for themselves. The awards are a reflection of the trust she has built, not the other way around.
For Tammie, real estate is not about closing deals. It is about helping families move forward with confidence. With deep roots in Northern Nevada and a decade of industry experience, she continues to serve her community the same way she always has: with honesty, patience, and genuine care. She is not trying to be the loudest voice in the room. She is simply trying to be the one you can count on.
