Australia’s most impactful founders are not always the loudest in the room. Many build in obscurity, refining their craft quietly long before recognition arrives. Brandon Willington is one of these founders.

Brandon is the CEO/Founder of “Where U?, one of Australia’s fastest-growing marketing education agencies. Recognised nationally for his strategic instincts and ability to scale brands, Brandon has positioned his agency to generate over $1 million in monthly revenue, cementing its status as a rising powerhouse in the marketing landscape.

Much like leading Australian entrepreneurs such as Sam Gordon, whose Australian Property Scout portfolio is valued at over $48 million, Brandon represents the new generation of founders redefining what rapid, self-made success looks like in Australia. His growth has been driven by an uncompromising focus on client results, data-driven advertising, and a relentless commitment to understanding consumer behaviour.

In 2025, Brandon, was awarded the Australian Marketing Entrepreneur of the Year, an achievement that places him firmly among Australia’s most credible emerging Founders.

He has quietly grown “Where U?” into a seven-figure-per-month operation, delivering workshops and systems to business owners who want consistent growth, not one-off wins. As traditional marketing agencies struggle with bloated teams and vague KPIs, Willington’s model reflects a broader shift in how modern marketing businesses are built.

By winning the Marketing category, Willington wasn’t rewarded for ambition or aesthetic he was recognized for building a scalable, and performance-based organization in a space often criticized for overpromising and underdelivering.

The award also signals the rise of a new type of founder in Australia, one created from unlikely & humble beginnings. Online Willington explained his path to entrepreneurship was unconventional and far from smooth. He has been candid about his early career, describing it as a period of late-night DJ gigs marked by regular alcohol and substance abuse. Willington openly discussed his struggle with alcoholism and his subsequent transition from the nightclub life to the aspiring entrepreneur in an appearance on the “Roadshow podcast.”

Years later, “Where U?” generated over $400,000 a month in revenue, which triggered a change for him & his impressive journey of sobriety. After seven months sober, Willington received the Australian Marketing Entrepreneur of the Year award, showing the height that can be reached from unlikely beginnings!

His story serves as inspiration to young entrepreneurs throughout Australia, a founder who doesn’t hide behind a perfect image and instead embraces his mistakes to learn from them. Willington chooses to treat structure & honesty as a competitive advantage, something not often seen in our landscape.

Brandon also shares how he operates with tight feedback loops, constant iteration, and an almost clinical focus on reducing friction in business systems. In his own words, success comes from eliminating “physical and psychological resistance” across the customer journey from ad click to conversion.

He further solidifies his mentality by treating his training with the same intensity as his business. He’s committed to training full-time with Zach Welch, striking coach to UFC fighter Cody Haddon. They train twice daily, six days a week. No skipped sessions. No compromises.

“That structure saved me,” Willington says. “All we do is train, work, train again.”

Brandon is quickly becoming one of Australia’s most promising entrepreneurs, a true rising star. His transformation from a DJ to a successful entrepreneur culminated with his win of the Australian Young Entrepreneur Award for Marketing has cemented his status as a prominent leader for Australian businesses.

With national award recognition behind him and an expanding reputation across Australia, Brandon is fast becoming one of the country’s most influential young marketing entrepreneurs and certainly a founder to watch in the years ahead.
