Nearly 12 years ago, a young trucker in Portland, Oregon, faced the same issue every trucker faces only days into their career. Looking for a place to park his truck, Aurel Davidyan scoured the local area in search of a safe place to park overnight. As a last resort, Davidyan asked a landowner who owned an empty parcel a few miles outside Portland to park his truck in their overgrown, empty lot.
