Transit Owl, a Georgia-based towing solutions company, is making its debut in various industry trade events, showcasing itsĀ Scorpion wire-free trailer connector system, which eliminates the risk of wiring failure and the hassle of setting up the wiring every time the truck and trailer are coupled.Ā
Entrepreneur and inventor Daniel G. Cardenas founded Transit Owl in 2017, but he had already been working on the idea for the Scorpion for a few years. In 2020, after eight years of development and 23 prototype versions, the Scorpion was launched in the market. A ādrop it, latch it, and goā solution, the Scorpionās connection system features discs with gold-plated electrical tracks, which allow for flexible movement and are spring-loaded, ensuring that the connectors are always in contact. Both the coupler and the receiver are protected by nylon composite collars, exclusively engineered for high performance and durability. It can withstand extreme temperatures and harsh elements, such as rain, snow, mud, grease, and salt.
After a one-time installation, the entire coupling process takes just a few seconds. This benefits a wide range of users, such as fleet operators, moving businesses, landscapers, farmers, boaters, motorcyclists, ranchers, and RV owners. Transit Owl is a proud member of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM).Ā
From June 21 to 23, 2024, Transit Owl will be at theĀ Tampa Bay Boat Show, presented by the Tampa Bay Times, to be held at the Florida State Fairgrounds. This is the largest boating event in the Tampa Bay area, featuring various boat dealers and manufacturers, as well as variousĀ
companies providing boating and fishing supplies and accessories. The Transit Owl team will demonstrate how the Scorpion can make boatersā lives easier, allowing them to launch their boats without the worry of shorting out their trailer lights and vehicle fuses.

Transit Owl is also attending the 55th annualĀ Americaās Largest RV ShowĀ® on September 11 to 15, 2024, at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Organized by the Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association, the event gathers various companies supplying RVs and accessories, with around 1,500 different RVs on display.
From November 5 to 8, 2024, the Transit Owl team will be at the annualĀ SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The SEMA Show is the premier industry trade event that showcases thousands of products and innovations from a wide range of companies across the automotive equipment and accessory industries. Over 140,000 people are expected to attend this yearās edition.
āThe creation of the Scorpion took eight years, involving an extensive research and engineering process,ā Cardenas says. āThis year, we are ready to let the general public know that there is a better option for trailer coupling on the market. We are now structurally ready to meet the growing customer demand, and weāre incredibly grateful to our amazing manufacturing partners, who have helped us reach this level. One of our main target markets is fleet operators, and these trade shows provide an excellent opportunity to engage with them. Weāre excited to meet people from all walks of life and demonstrate how the Scorpion is a true ādrop it, latch it, and goā solution. See you at the shows!ā
