As the CEO and founder of Powered to Rise, Rafat Fields equips business owners with the educational tools to excel in the healthcare space, offering consulting services to grow their visibility and stay up to date with the evolving technology industry.Ā
Rafat is a visionary for social change, dedicating her efforts to uplifting leaders in underserved American communities. She shares her experiences as a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), obtaining undergraduate and master’s qualifications from the five-year MBA program. Notably, she completed internships at Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline, where she established a driving motivation to pursue a career that had meaningful impacts on communities with historically limited access to healthcare.Ā
According to the National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report, access to healthcare is a privilege, measured by āthe timely use of personal health services to achieve the best health outcomes.ā Rafat addresses inequity in this space and the increasing gap between medical services and social outreach by reflecting on her own experiences as a young African-American in a family of traditionally blue-collar workers. Firsthand, Rafat saw the impacts of the unbalanced healthcare system of the United States, commenting: āI know the people Iām fighting for, not just because I sympathize with them but because I represent them. Issues of medical inaccessibility touch my own family as deeply as anyone else. This empowers me to make a long-standing impact.”Ā
Powered to Rise was founded with respect for both the underrepresented workers and underserved patients within the medical field. The company centers on developing and advocating for community-based leaders. Powered to Rise is partnering with a world-class, all-in-one marketing and sales technology developer. By white labeling their comprehensive SaaS software, Powered to Rise offers a solution customized to leaders working in healthcare and social services, leveraging a wide array of features, including automation solutions, scheduling, website design, and reputation management.Ā

The platform nurtures continuous learning opportunities, revolutionizing existing practices through technological enhancements. Outside of her business, Rafatās dedication to teaching and learning extends into her personal life, as she obtained a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), becoming a qualified personal trainer and then later advancing into a competitor in national competitions as a Masters level athlete with USA Weightlifting.

As an experienced professional working on the front line of the healthcare industry, Rafat describes the motivations that remain at the heart of her entrepreneurial pursuits: āDespite my experience with executives at some of the largest players in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, I felt the most satisfaction when working with those at the grass-roots level. I thrived most in areas that brought me closest to the patients and providers I came into contact with, gaining an elevated level of appreciation for the unsung heroes that work on the ground throughout our communities.āĀ
Rooted in social advocacy, Powered to Rise encompasses the founderās committed pursuit of health equity, centering her work around legacy rather than personal growth. She encourages others to take control of their career progression by granting them the tools to grow with technology and not be held back by the rapidly developing world they exist in. Today, the enterprise specializes in equipping business leaders with the tools to propel their healthcare initiatives and, in turn, improve healthcare provisions for vulnerable individuals and families throughout the United States.
