Serial entrepreneur Pete Gillett has been a pioneer in database marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) technology since the 1970s. As CEO of Zuant, Peter drives product development and client implementation for the company’s intuitive lead management system used by major U.S. corporations.

“Focus entirely on what you’re good at, and hire finest talent to handle the rest. Not easy, but enjoy the process of building and retaining an extraordinary team,” Pete advises aspiring entrepreneurs.

From Science to Software

Coming from a family of scientists, Pete initially aimed for mechanical engineering but soon found himself drawn to the emerging world of software and technology.

In the 1990s, he created the world’s first web-based CRM system funded by and for Lucent Technologies. Pete launched the first CRM iPad applications in 2010. Over his prolific career, Pete’s inventions have powered events, conferences, sales teams, and marketing campaigns for global brands.

“I was drawn towards engineering in motorsport, but life had different plans. Instead of racing cars, I now concentrate on my clients’ performance,” he reflects.

Transforming Lead Capture

Pete’s latest venture, Zuant, offers an intuitive range ofĀ  lead capture and management toolsĀ  that provides the perfect front-end for any event, sales or marketing channels – even in the metaverse!

“Zuant is a delight to use and totally intuitive, capturing leads and connecting teams to drive results,” Pete explains.

From trade shows to product launches, Zuant’s mobile technology allows corporations to engage consumers and gather data anywhere.Ā

“We were able to extend the life of our trade show booth, generating leads long after the event ended,” shared one satisfied client.

Adapting Through Crisis

When the pandemic halted in-person events and conferences, Pete pivoted to sustain his business. He partnered with Matterport to create Zuant 3D, immersing clients in interactive, digital experiences.

“Exhibiting at a major show can cost $1M+. Now sales teams can leverage that investment for months afterwards,” Pete explains.

Using 3D scans, Zuant 3D generates digital twins of physical spaces. Clients can showcase products and environments remotely, entertaining unlimited visitors. Integrated live chat, visitor tracking, and lead capture allows businesses to engage audiences 24/7.

“Just couldn’t handle the traffic for a major product launch any other way,” remarked one Zuant 3D user.

Focusing on the Future

For new entrepreneurs, Pete stresses the importance of focus and collaboration. “Find good advisors or you will likely fail,” he warns.

“Try to connect with the right partners at the finest level of your industry,” Pete adds. He credits key partnerships with Matterport for enabling his newest 3D technology.

Looking back over his prolific career, Pete reflects that success didn’t come easy. “There were many sleepless nights filled with stress and uncertainty,” he reveals. Yet through perseverance and calculated risk-taking, Pete achieved his goals. “You have to be willing to make mistakes and even fail in order to eventually succeed,” he advises.

Looking ahead, Pete aims to expand Zuant’s immersive 3D technology across new industries and applications. He also seeks to inspire future generations of inventors. “Have a vision, believe in it completely, and don’t be afraid to challenge the status quo,” Pete urges. With his tenacious spirit and creative mindset, Pete Gillett continues reaching new heights while guiding others to do the same.

Now an award-winning inventor with multiple accolades in CRM and digital marketing, Pete continues to innovate. “Have plenty of good, new ideas, but choosing the right ones to focus on can be really difficult,” he shares.
