Khusniddin, your experience in scaling Kings Mountain National Carriers is truly remarkable. Can you share with us what drove you to start another company Comston?
Thank you for having me today!
Scaling Kings Mountain National Carriers was a thrilling journey filled with ups and dpwns. As I navigated this path, I began to realize that many in my network were seeking advice on replicating our success. That’s when the idea for Comston was born—a platform where we could offer guidance and support to companies at any stage of their logistics journey. From startups looking to break into the industry to established players seeking optimization, Comston is here to provide tailored solutions.
What advancements do you anticipate in the future of logistics?
With the integration of AI and IoT in logistics, the future holds exciting possibilities for predictive maintenance. According to a report by McKinsey, predictive maintenance powered by AI and IoT technologies could reduce equipment downtime by up to 50%. This means that companies can anticipate and prevent equipment failures before they occur, leading to significant cost savings. Additionally, AI and IoT integration will enable real-time monitoring of shipments and inventory, optimizing route planning and inventory management. These advancements are projected to generate savings of up to $70 billion annually in the logistics industry by 2025, as reported by Deloitte.
With Comston, you’re essentially helping companies—even potential competitors—navigate the logistics landscape. Are you not concerned about aiding your competition?
That’s a valid question. While it may seem counterintuitive to assist potential competitors, I believe in fostering a collaborative ecosystem within the industry. At Comston, our aim is to elevate the standards of logistics as a whole, benefiting everyone involved. By sharing knowledge and best practices, we contribute to a thriving community. .
Speaking of community, it’s clear you’re deeply invested in giving back. How do you contribute beyond your consultancy work?
Giving back is something I’m truly passionate about. In addition to our consultancy efforts, I’m actively involved in mentorship programs like ADP List where people can connect with me to ask their questions. Recently, I joined Intro and Minnect, to 1:1 paid consultations platforms where I was invited as an expert. These platforms allow me to share insights and guidance with aspiring entrepreneurs and industry professionals. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see others benefit from my experiences and expertise.
