Marcel Young : Son of Dr. Dre and Michel’le

Marcel Young was born in Los Angeles, California. He attended Mann Elementary in San Diego, California. He graduated from Otay Ranch High School and is currently a student at UCSD pursuing his bachelor’s degree in biology.

Marcel is fluent in English, Spanish, and Creole (Haitian)

Besides being the youngest child of the famous Dr. Dre, Marcel has developed several skills and hobbies and has achieved a good level of fame through his various intermittent activities. He has worked with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, and Prodigy. He was also in the hip hop group Deep Cover Crip in 2001 and featured as part of the “Endless” compilation album in 2005.

His musical style is hard to classify, as it varies depending on his work. Marcel Young has recorded several tracks with Dr. Dre, such as “One Two,” “Outta Control,” “Just a Friend (Remix),” and “Still Dre.” Michelle talks about how Marcel never listened to the albums of his parents but perhaps got inspired by them:

We were always listening to music in the house growing up. My father was always blasting Dr. Dre music, and I would be like. What the hell is that?

So Marcel’s first few years in the game were on numerous tours with his father. But he eventually grew tired of it.

I quit touring with my dad and hanging out with him, and I didn’t like it anymore. It was fun at first, but when I got older, I realized that it wasn’t for me because it was too regular. If you leave out a day or two, you don’t get respect from your peers or team.

The Complications Between Young’s Parents :

“There was a little bit of confusion between my parents. They were always at odds with each other. But they were together when I was born, and they got together again when I was around 5 or 6. We didn’t see that much of each other after that. When he [Marcel] started showing interest in music, I told him to keep it on the low.”

Young’s father, Dr. Dre, is a talented rapper who has made various hits throughout his career. Michelle is also an American singer who has maintained a strong position in the entertainment industry since 1990. At the height of her career, she ranked third on the Billboard charts.

While growing up, Marcel learned how to play drums and piano without formal training. He also took guitar lessons but quit them because he felt they were boring. His father didn’t push him to become a musician, saying: “I don’t know what it takes to be successful in this business.
