Kathy Ireland Gives Hope Back to Families for the Holidays
Share on Facebook

Kathy Ireland experienced great success this year as CEO of kathy ireland Worldwide. She has received awards and has been recognized as an icon in her industry. To give back to the American people, Ireland worked with Emmy Award-winning producer Sam Haskell to bring The Waltons’ Homecoming to families this Thanksgiving and holiday season.

Kathy Ireland is the CEO of kathy ireland Worldwide, one of the top licensing companies in America. 2021 has been a fruitful year for Ireland and her company, and her excellent work at the helm of her empire has not gone unnoticed by business institutions. This year, the IRF awarded her a Business International Religious Freedom Champion Award. Ireland also received an Icon Award from the International Home Furnishings Association in recognition of her work. In addition to these two awards, Kathy Ireland also has the distinguished honor of being the youngest woman elected into the Hall of Fame by Licensing International. This honor given to her recognizes her company’s achievements as the highest-ranked woman-owned licensing firm in America.

Grateful for the recognition and success she has achieved this year, Kathy Ireland expressed a desire to give back. She shared, “I wanted to give a gift to the American public just in time for the holidays. And this film became our powerful choice.” Here, Ireland referred to the film The Waltons’ Homecoming. The film is executive produced by Sam Haskell, Emmy Award winner and Chair and President of Magnolia Hill Productions at Warner Brothers.

Speaking of the collaboration with Haskell, Ireland said, “There is no one more talented or appropriate to bring this message of hope to our homes this Thanksgiving weekend. Sam Haskell’s accomplishments in television are legendary and iconic.”

The Waltons’ Homecoming is a film that speaks to the purest of values: family, inclusivity, faith, and love. The film also brings a message of hope which is essential now more than even in relation to the challenging year everyone went through. This movie stars Bellamy Young, Ben Lawson and Logan Shroyer. The original John Boy, Richard Thomas, returns to narrate the film. It airs on The CW on November 28, with an encore airing on December 11.

Aside from an incredible cast, The Waltons’ Homecoming also features music from seven-time Grammy Award winners Billy Davis Jr. and Marilyn McCoo. One of their songs from the movie, a rendition of “Silent Night,” was recognized by TV Guide as a beautiful and soulful version of the holiday classic. But this film collaboration is not the only time Davis and McCoo have worked with Kathy Ireland. Their previous album, Blackbird: Lennon-McCartney Icons, was created in partnership with Ireland and their longtime producer Nic Mendoza. This album was instrumental in the duo’s return to the Billboard charts after 35 years.

Kathy Ireland and her company are also staunch supporters of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, which helps children battling cancer. Ireland serves as the International Chair for the NPCF. This year, she worked with NPCF CEO David Frazer and collaborated once more with Davis and McCoo for a commercial campaign calling for holiday donations to the foundation. The commercial features the song “Do It,” performed by Davis and McCoo. Furthermore, Ireland and her company have stated that they will make contributions on behalf of every holiday purchase.Kathy Ireland is the CEO of kathy ireland Worldwide. This year, her company is the sole presenting sponsor for the Waltons’ Homecoming, which airs on The CW on November 28 and December 11. For more information, you can visit this website.
