Justin Waller: How He Created a Successful Construction Company
Share on Facebook

A person’s background can play a big role in the shaping of their life. Justin Waller grew beyond his background, had lofty dreams, and pursued them with all his might. He owns a construction and real estate company that operates in more than ten states with 90 employees. He is also the youngest member of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) board. Describing his early background, “I grew up in a small town where people think small and live suppressed. This said the only way we knew how to make doctor money was in boots. So I spent my twenties building my construction and real estate businesses, removing myself from this small town mindset.”

Justin Waller acquired life and business lessons from notable authors like Robert Kiyosaki, Patrick Lencioni, Robert E. Gerber, and many others. His business operations have also been characterized by his agility and availability to oversee his company and projects. “I try to be in as many places as possible. I am blessed with the inability to sit still for long, so I often find myself traveling between cities where my company is doing projects while I take care of my personal projects too. I spend time at my company’s home office in Baton Rouge and create YouTube content at my second residence in Miami. Regardless of the location, I try to lift, read, and study business each day. It truly makes me happy, and I feel like I am getting better each day,” he revealed.

Justin Waller takes pride in building his businesses from scratch without help from any investor, family, or connections. The journey to the top came with mental toughness and lessons on pain and pressure. It shaped Justin to become the fluid entrepreneur he is, and he developed the unique ability to build a business in any city in the world. Justin claims that it has given him a special type of confidence and freedom.

Justin Waller’s construction company has been involved in various projects across all fifty states and the Caribbean, building everything from airplane hangers to large box stores like Costco and Rooms to Go. Justin is a progressive-thinking entrepreneur who integrates progressive initiatives into the culture at his various companies. One such initiative is having an all-female construction management staff, and Justin describes them as “Killers.”

“We have the best culture in the metal building space. This allows us to create a less stressful environment for employees and customers in the field,” he said.

His goals for the next few years include pivoting into real estate and gaining more ground in the industry. He also plans to invest in cryptocurrency and consult with businesses on how he made a 7-figure revenue from his businesses from zero. He will feel fulfilled in a few years when he sees himself, his companies, and every member of his team experiencing new levels of growth.

Justin’s advice for business owners and entrepreneurs is to keep looking for a higher mountain to climb. He warns against complacency, burnout, and lack of excitement. “Success is fickle, and if you toy with it, it can get away from you. So never stop working, never stop solving problems,” he said.
