Blaine Wells has held his real estate license for 23 years in real estate in Northwest Ohio. He is based in Findlay, a micropolitan town where his family has been part of the local real estate scene since the 1970s. His grandfather, grandmother, and mother were in the business for years before him. That kind of continuity means something in a place where people still remember who sold their parents their first house. For Blaine, real estate was never just a career choice.Ā  It was more like destiny.Ā  It was something he grew up with, omnipresent. Always around, a profession woven into the fabric of his family’s story in the Findlay, OH community.

Over the years, Blaine has worn a lot of hats. He has owned and operated multiple brokerages. He has recruited, trained and mentored more than 50 sales agents. He has worked in corporate relocation services, foreclosure sales, vacant land transactions, commercial real estate, new home construction, renovation consulting, and traditional buyer and seller representation. The range, like his skill set, is broad, but the thread running through it all is simple: he shows up, he knows his stuff, and he treats people like people, not just transactional benchmarks.

Changing the Perception of What a Realtor Can Be

Real estate is not an industry that always enjoys the public’s trust. Some people see it as transactional at best, predatory at worst. Blaine has made it his work to push against that perception. Every client interaction, every phone call, every gathering around the closing table becomes an opportunity to demonstrate the value a real estate professional can actually provide when they take the job seriously.

“There is a lot of talk in our industry about being a ā€œdisrupterā€,” Blaine said. “I want to disrupt the unfortunate perception many people have of my profession and show them what being a professional Realtor looks like.”

The distinction between that public perception and the real life experience a true professional can offer matters to him. He does not chase trends or gimmicks. Instead, he relies on the professional knowledge he has built over multiple decades, following in the footsteps of his previous family generations. His focus is on delivering an unparalleled level of professionalism, knowledge, and strategy while making the process of buying or selling real estate as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

Serving Clients Who Need It Most

There are two kinds of clients Blaine finds himself drawn to most. The first is anyone who has had a poor real estate experience in the past. Maybe a previous deal fell apart at the last minute. Maybe they felt ignored or misled. Maybe nobody ever explained what was actually happening with their transaction. Blaine sees those situations as a chance to show what a service-first approach can look like. He calls it a “service over self” mindset, and it shapes everything he does.

The second type is the first-time buyer or seller. These clients are often overwhelmed. They do not know what to expect. They are looking for someone they can trust to walk them through from beginning to end.

“These clients often need real help and are absolutely begging for someone to trust,” Blaine explained. “I relish the opportunity to guide their processes, from start to finish, side by side with the client as a trusted fiduciary.”

The Ideal Outcome

The goal in both cases is the same. A smooth, enjoyable transaction. No last-minute surprises. No unexpected outcomes. No client anxiety or turmoil. Just a clean process that leaves people feeling cared for. Blaine believes that real estate does not have to be stressful. When clients have the right person in their corner, someone who genuinely cares about their outcome and has the knowledge to back it up, the experience can actually be a good one.

A New Chapter with The Property Collective

In mid 2025, Blaine and his business partner, Jason Alge, opened a new independent brokerage in downtown Findlay. The name mattered to them when choosing a name for their new venture.Ā  Ultimately, The Property Collective was opened. The idea was to build something from the ground up with a specific kind of culture. They wanted agents who shared their focus on professionalism and genuine client care. They hand-selected a group of Realtors who believe in putting service and fiduciary duty above everything else.Ā  ā€œA ā€œcollectiveā€ is a group of like-minded individuals, and we have truly found our place within this new real estate brokerage.ā€ says Blaine and Jason.Ā

It has grown quickly. Starting with just the two of them, they have since added eight more Realtors to the team. That kind of growth, in a short span, says something about the reputation they have built and the kind of people who want to be part of it.

Blaine does not talk about the business in flashy terms. He does not promise anything extraordinary. What he offers is knowledge built over decades, a deep understanding of the local market, and a commitment to putting clients first. In an industry where trust can be difficult to win, that approach stands out.
