David Santiago Shares His Quest to Building a Billion Dollar Hair Loss Empire

Hair loss is one of the most prevalent problems that have plagued men and women from all over the world. In recent years, it has become such a massive issue that most people have sought the highest level of treatment available. The hair loss epidemic might be a difficult problem to solve, but that never stopped David Santiago from creating a positive impact on an international scale. With a passion for business and helping others, the firebrand entrepreneur established Scalp Solutions, a men’s non-surgical hair loss restoration studio based in Hudson Valley, New York.

Setting the foundation for his billion-dollar hair loss empire, David Santiago offers a guaranteed solution to hair loss in the market dubbed Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP). Currently, all the available options in the hair loss industry have trended toward surgical hair transplants. David Santiago discovered the need for a high-quality, non-invasive procedure. Thus he built Scalp Solutions under this noble premise.

Scalp Solutions is a hair loss company that offers men’s grooming products and SMP, a non-invasive treatment that utilizes micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. The procedure creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles that help thicken and restore the look of fuller hair. “If you are starting to thin, recede, or if you are completely bald, SMP can give you the look of a short buzz cut,” shared David Santiago.

Furthermore, one of the many benefits of SMP comes in the post-procedure process. This non-invasive technique requires little to no maintenance, strict lifestyle changes, or dietary restrictions, helping patients regain their confidence without sacrificing their many wants and needs.

With David Santiago at the helm, Scalp Solutions has amassed massive success over the years. As one of the world’s most prominent SMP artists, he has elevated the brand and propelled it as a top-of-mind solution for everyone’s hair loss needs. On track for even more business growth and development, Scalp Solutions has paved the way for an even bigger and better hair loss industry.

Before working as an SMP artist, David Santiago got his start in the hair industry as a licensed NY master barber who performed Cranial Prosthesis, men’s hair systems, and wigs. His goal is to build Scalp Solutions to be a men’s hair loss one-stop shop where they can get SMP, hair systems, hair transplants, and hair products all in one.

With plans to further expand his hair loss empire, David Santiago intends to create a franchise system and have studios set up all across the United States. The goal is to go toe-to-toe against some of the world’s biggest brands in hair care, and it looks like David Santiago is well on his way to achieving what he has always dreamed of with Scalp Solutions.

In 2022, a private equity firm behind one of the biggest hair loss brands in the world made an offer to acquire Scalp Solutions for an eight-figure sum. With a firm belief in his company, David Santiago remained steadfast and declined the offer. Flattered that a massive company would put his company at a decent valuation, David Santiago is still fully determined to build a billion-dollar brand with Scalp Solutions, a goal that’s looking more and more achievable over the years.

Ultimately, David Santiago has created a force to be reckoned with in the global hair loss industry, building a massive billion-dollar hair loss brand through his passion, talent, and determination. Over the years, discerning customers and the mainstream media have caught wind of David Santiago and Scalp Solutions, allowing the entrepreneur and his brand to earn their place in esteemed publications such as Forbes, Yahoo Finance, and This is 50.

Proving that he is worth his salt as a hair care expert, SMP artist, and entrepreneur, David Santiago was also named one of the Top 10 CEOs of 2021 by NY Weekly.
