Lindsey Paulus has been selling homes in the western suburbs of Chicago since 2012. She grew up in Western Springs and now lives in La Grange, which means she knows these streets the way only someone who was raised here can. Fittingly, she focuses her efforts on working in areas such as La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs and beyond. Her business degree from the University of Illinois with a special focus on marketing influences everything she does. Her unique combination of strategic thinking and creative marketing allows her to make her clients stand out from the crowd.
Lindsey works with her husband, Dave, to create all of her marketing and branding materials. The style they have built together feels friendly and approachable, not slick or salesy. “By operating my business with love and care, my clients feel heard and understood and I know I’ve given them my very best,” she said.
Information as a Service
What sets Lindsey apart is the way she values data and shares information. She believes people deserve to know what is happening in real estate at every level, from national trends down to the micro markets in their own neighborhoods. Her website, www.lindseypaulus.com, reflects this. It includes a neighborhoods section designed to educate buyers on specific areas, with details on local restaurants, shops, schools, parks, and transit options. Plus, there are live market graphs that show buyers the direction that trends are moving. Providing this level of personalized data is one of the ways Lindsey adds value for her clients.
Personal Touches That Matter
Lindsey’s uniqueness shows in more ways than just marketing, data and digital content. She brings a personal touch to her work, often dropping off market updates at clients’ homes with small treats like her legendary homemade strawberry jam. Every summer since 2020, she partnered with a local ice cream shop in La Grange to create her original “It’s My Jam” ice cream flavor made with her strawberry jam and chunks of pound cake. She invites the whole town for a free scoop and gives past and current clients coupons for a free pint. This has become a cherished summer tradition that people look forward to every year.
Lindsey does special things for her clients and the community all year long. She hosts a Mother’s Day event with complimentary manicures and pedicures. At the holidays, she visits every client to drop off a personalized ornament featuring a photo of them in front of their home. “Connecting with my clients on a personal level makes all the difference during their real estate journey and beyond…to me, it is the most rewarding part of being an agent,” she said.
Earning Trust in a Skeptical Industry
People are cautious with their real estate choices, and they should be. Lindsey works hard to show her clients that she is worthy of their trust through every step of their experience, whether they are buying or selling. It comes down to honest communication and hard work. “There is so much distrust in real estate. I strive to be the person my clients know always has their best interest in mind,” she explained.
Her goal is simply to make sure her clients know she has their back. She is always thinking strategically, whether her clients are selling or navigating a competitive buying situation. Making the process as smooth as possible means her clients can enjoy the experience along the way. “Real estate transactions are important decisions and should be treated that way. But if we can de-escalate the stress involved, I find my clients are the happiest and make the best decisions,” she said.
A Track Record That Speaks
Lindsey is affiliated with @properties | Christie’s International Real Estate, the number one brokerage in Chicagoland. She has been the top individual agent in her Western Springs office of approximately 90 agents for four of the last five years. She has been recognized as a top producer in both Chicago Magazine and Crain’s Chicago Business and typically sells between 40 and 60 properties per year, split between buyers and sellers. She likes this pace because it allows her to give each client the individual attention they desire.
Outside of real estate, Lindsey has spent the last eight years on the board of The La Grange Pet Parade, one of the most beloved events in town. She is the mother of three boys, all now in their early twenties. Her life is rooted in the communities she serves. For anyone buying or selling in the western suburbs of Chicago, Lindsey offers something that cannot be fabricated: local knowledge, thoughtful client-first care, and genuine trust.
