Danielle Bowers didn’t set out to make history when she opened her brokerage in Petersburg, Virginia. She just wanted to serve people the way she’d been trained to in the Army National Guard: with discipline, clarity, and a focus on getting the job done right. But in 2023, when she founded what is now Century 21 Lifestyle, she became the first Black, female, veteran-owned real estate brokerage in the city. It wasn’t about the title. It was about creating something that reflected her values and the people she serves.

With 19 years in real estate, Danielle has built her reputation on consistency. She started in 2005 and earned Rookie of the Year early on, along with her Accredited Buyer Representative designation. Over the years, she has earned credentials such as Seller Representative Specialist, Military Relocation Specialist, and Luxury Marketing Member. She was named a Top 100 Richmond Real Producer in 2021 and 2022, and has remained in the Top 200 from 2023 to 2025. But the numbers only tell part of the story.

A Focus on Military Relocations

Most of Danielle’s clients are military families in the middle of a relocation. These are people who don’t have time to manage repairs, staging, inspections, or cleanings while preparing to move. They need someone who can handle it all without them being there. Bowers steps in and takes that burden off their hands. “My clients know that I will take that burden of worry off their hands and get them from listing to contract to close effortlessly and stress-free,” she said. It’s not flashy work, but it’s the kind that matters.

Her military background gives her an understanding of what these families are going through. She knows the timelines are tight and the stakes are high. She also knows that trust is everything when someone is handing you the keys to their home from hundreds of miles away. That’s where her training and her temperament come together. She doesn’t just manage transactions. She removes obstacles.

Growing With Purpose

In recent months, Danielle moved to operate under the Century 21 brand. The partnership gives her team access to better technology, marketing tools, lead generation systems, and coaching platforms. It also strengthens her ability to serve a broader range of clients while offering her agents more room to grow. “Century 21 offers unmatched name recognition and the resources needed to serve consumers from every walk of life,” Danielle explained. “Our company stands apart by focusing on lifestyle, helping people unlock the life they want, not just complete a transaction.”

The timing is significant. Petersburg is undergoing major changes, with the upcoming Live! Casino set to transform the area into a resort and entertainment destination. Danielle and her team are positioned right in the middle of that growth. Since launching the firm, they’ve closed over 170 transactions and more than $60 million in sales volume. It’s a footprint that reflects both ambition and execution.

Leadership That Lifts Others

Danielle doesn’t just lead by example. She builds systems that help her agents succeed faster. She provides structured training, mentoring, and exposure to tools that give them an edge. Her brokerage is built around community engagement, inclusive culture, and delivering an elevated client experience. She wants her team to work smarter, lead with purpose, and grow into their potential.

Her approach is rooted in the same values she brought from education and the military: integrity, compassion, and a refusal to cut corners. She’s a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Regent University, and she applies that foundation to everything she does. Whether it’s helping a first-time buyer or marketing a luxury property, the standard stays the same.

Danielle Bowers has spent nearly two decades proving that real estate is about more than closing deals. It’s about showing up, doing the work, and making sure people feel taken care of. In a market that’s constantly shifting, that kind of consistency is what builds trust. And in Petersburg, trust is what she’s known for.
