New York, NY, May 2025 – Queen Martins has received international recognition with her  2025 Global Recognition Award. The honor underscores her consistent ability to design and execute marketing strategies that blend data-driven insight with community-rooted impact. From scaling entertainment platforms to leading fintech growth, Martins exemplifies the kind of culturally fluent, results-oriented leadership shaping the future of global marketing.

Career Excellence Spanning Continents

Queen Martins brings a distinct cross-cultural lens to her work, shaped by academic and professional experiences across continents. She began her journey at the University of Lagos with a degree in Mass Communication, later pursuing advanced training in Film Production at the New York Film Academy and Documentary Filmmaking at Montana State University-Bozeman.

In 2024, she earned her MBA from Columbia Business School, concentrating on Digital Disruption and the Business of TV and Streaming. During her MBA, she launched Wandara Media, a content company focused on elevating underrepresented voices. The venture received support from Startup Works, won the AlleyCon pitch competition, and was a finalist in Columbia’s startup competition—a testament to her ability to identify cultural gaps and build commercially viable brands around them.

Martins also served as VP of Careers & Alumni for Columbia’s Africa Business Club, where she supported hundreds of students in navigating professional pathways and expanding access to industry networks.

Business Contributions with Measurable Outcomes

As Growth Manager at Taptap Send, Martins leads go-to-market strategy and customer acquisition for the U.S.–Nigeria corridor. She is responsible for driving growth through performance marketing, referral program optimization, influencer campaigns, and diaspora community activations. Her work combines rigorous data analysis with local market insight to increase user engagement and reduce acquisition costs across digital and offline channels.

Her previous experience includes contributing to audience strategy at Amazon Studios, where she supported the development of AI-informed marketing frameworks for global content rollouts. She also played a major role in marketing some of the continent’s successful entertainment formats, including Big Brother Naija, helping to grow its pan-African audience base.

In launching Shark Tank Nigeria, Martins helped lead visibility and marketing efforts that not only introduced a globally recognized business format to local audiences, but also enabled Nigerian entrepreneurs to secure funding and media exposure, expanding their access to capital and market reach.

Commitment to Community Development

Martins has consistently applied her marketing acumen to platforms and initiatives that build long-term capacity. She has led professional development training for over 350 individuals across Nigeria, equipping participants with skills in media, business, and creative industries—reinforcing her belief that visibility and access should be democratized.

Her content platform, Living Boldly with Queen Martins, offers bold, human-centered storytelling that empowers audiences across the diaspora. Through podcast episodes, speaking engagements, and mentorship, she continues to foster pathways for others navigating purpose-driven careers.
