The numerous health benefits of yoga can boost your work ethic, help sustain your career, and increase your value as an employee. Surprised? Then you may have much left to learn about the philosophy of yoga, its positive effects on your body, and how the two intertwine to help you feel more energetic throughout the day.
You also may not know that infrared yoga, also known as “hot yoga”, is a super effective way to maximize those benefits!
What is Yoga?
Originating in ancient India, yoga is a spiritual, mental, and physical practice that uses bodyweight exercises as a form of meditation, to build muscle, and to keep your body limber. It is a low-impact exercise that doesn’t require any special equipment, making it very beginner-friendly and easy to get into.
How is Hot Yoga So Effective?
Hot yoga differs from traditional yoga in only one way – it requires an infrared heater. Many gyms and yoga classes now offer infrared workout equipment, however, and it’s just as easy to begin practicing infrared yoga. Some of the benefits of choosing hot yoga over other types of yoga include shorter warm-up and cool-down times, reduced muscle aches, improved circulation, and injury prevention. All of this is attained simply by working out with a little extra heat via infrared workout equipment!
Teaching Self-Discipline
Yoga is as much about mindfulness as it is about commitment. The exercises involve going through a series of slow motions and holding poses, with each move bearing a sense of purpose and deliberateness. It’s also not unusual to feel awkward or to struggle to focus during a beginner yoga class, but stick with it, and eventually, you’ll reach that philosophical, meditative state that everyone talks about.
Even taking the time out of your day to practice yoga is a way to train your self-discipline, as long as you do it consistently!

Too often, we carry our stress from home to work with us. Many yoga techniques have a positive impact on our nervous systems by using meditation and restful poses to slow our breathing and heart rates. Slowing down our breathing and heart rates helps us feel more relaxed and less anxious.

Studies have shown that infrared exercise can stimulate the production of white blood cells. White blood cells are one of the first responders of your immune system, helping the body fight off infections and diseases.
Although traditional yoga can boost your body temperature and heart rate somewhat, hot yoga is far more effective at providing the types of immune system boosts that we’re referring to here. Using infrared workout equipment during yoga can also increase your cardiovascular health and reduce muscle recovery times, thanks to the way heat warms muscles and improves circulation.
Improve Concentration and Focus
Practicing yoga is a way to practice decluttering our minds and increasing our self-awareness. When we have more practice managing the thoughts in our heads, it’s easier to focus on the tasks at hand – including tasks at work.
