Morone, the visionary behind Zabota.io, a company that specializes in bridging the gap between businesses and highly skilled professionals across the globe. In this exclusive interview, we delve into the significance of having a company like Zabota.io that empowers businesses to access top-tier talent and helps individuals worldwide find rewarding career opportunities. Benjamin’s insights shed light on the transformative impact of global talent connections in the modern business world.

Q: What brought you to this specific career path?

I got into staffing through sort of a unique route. After years of working in various sales roles and experiencing the benefits of collaborating with talented professionals from different parts of the world, I recognized the value of connecting businesses with skilled global individuals. When I came back to the USA, I began helping friends find talented workers for their projects. It snowballed from there and became what you see today.

Q2: What does this industry mean to you?

It’s about bridging the gap between talented individuals and the opportunities that can help them thrive. It’s about empowering businesses to access the right talent to grow and succeed. This industry means impacting people’s lives by helping them find fulfilling careers and supporting companies in achieving their goals. Ultimately, it’s about creating a win-win situation for everyone involved, which drives me daily in this industry.

Q: Can you tell us a story about the hard times you faced when you started your journey? Did you ever consider giving up?

One of the most challenging times I faced was during the early stages of the business when I was still building a client base. At that time, I had invested a significant amount of time and resources into getting the company off the ground, but the initial results were slower than I had anticipated.

I have never questioned whether I had made the right decision in building this company. I had already worked traditional jobs and knew I could not go back. Since I staff talent from Eastern Europe, I decided to move there to build a local brand presence and to fully understand the culture I am sourcing talent from. Being 5,000 miles from home prevented me from having a fallback plan. I needed my company to succeed in the beginning, so I used my extra time to work and build my company’s infrastructure today.

Q: What do you think is a great quality that anyone in your industry should have? And why?

Adaptability. The only constant thing is change. Client and candidate needs can change rapidly; adaptability is an extremely valuable quality. It allows you to adjust your approach to meet the evolving requirements.

Q: What do you feel has been your ‘career-defining’ moment? And how did it impact your life?

I am not sure that there is a singular point that has defined my career. We are just getting started in our ability to connect the world with high-quality global talent.

Q: Is there a setback/mistake you’ve made, and can you share what you did to overcome it?

We all make mistakes, but it is really about what we do after a mistake happens that defines our success. If there is a scenario where the wrong type of candidate gets placed into a company, we guarantee a replacement for free. This guarantee has helped minimize any mistakes we may make.

Q: Why did you start your company?

I started my company because I deeply appreciate the culture and talent pool in the region of Eastern Europe where I staff from. I’ve had the privilege of working with and getting to know many talented individuals from this area throughout my career. It’s left a lasting impression on me. I saw an opportunity to connect businesses with this exceptional local talent and contribute to the community’s growth and success. I believed that by starting my own staffing company, I could create a platform that not only benefits businesses by providing them with the right talent but also supports the aspirations of local individuals.”

Q: How does your company differentiate from other companies in your industry?

What truly sets my company apart is our approach to staffing. We vet the talent we represent and thoroughly assess the opportunities we offer to the talent. We only want to place people into roles that will make them successful financially and professionally. There isn’t an amount that we could be paid to put someone in a subpar opportunity.

Q: What is the pain point that your company is helping to address?

The pain point that my company is helping to address is the challenge of finding the perfect match between highly qualified remote talent and employers without costing the employers an arm and a leg.

Q: How does your company help people?

We help global talent, primarily in Eastern Europe, increase generational wealth while connecting business owners to premium global talent.

Q: When you think of the strongest team you’ve ever worked with, why do you think that team worked so well together? Can you recall an anecdote that illustrates the dynamic?

The team we are building at Zabota is powerful. This effectiveness comes down to our shared goals and values: The team shares a common vision and set of values regarding staffing. Our team wants to see candidates we hire succeed and for our clients to achieve their growth goals. Clear communication is also a core tenet at Zabota. We have open and honest discussions about candidates’ and clients’ success. Regarding an anecdote about our team dynamic, I recall one of our team members disqualifying a potential client because they felt the working conditions for the job were unrealistic. Although this may seem negative to some, it’s a testament to our commitment to vetting our potential clients and their opportunities as much as the candidates we place.

Benjamin M. Morone’s journey in the staffing industry is a testament to the power of persistence, adaptability, and a commitment to creating meaningful connections in the global talent market. His company, zabota.io, continues to make a difference in the lives of individuals seeking fulfilling careers and businesses looking for top-notch talent. We look forward to seeing how Benjamin’s vision and dedication will shape the future of staffing and employment opportunities.
