According to recent research, CEOs can stress more, visibly age faster, live with more frustration, anxiety, and depression, and even become culprits of illness which can have a significant impact on the CEO’s life expectancies. Many say that becoming CEOs should come with a health warning. It is common knowledge that being a CEO has always been tricky but the nature of the modern business model means running a company has become increasingly complex, with decisions constantly needing to be made non stop around the clock. Anthony DeMello was a man who walked the walk and showed folks (including entrepreneurs) that it is possible to stress less and live more. And even after his death, the DeMello Center continues to help individuals improve their living conditions and live purposeful lives.

Don Joseph Goewey is the current executive director of the DeMello Center and is largely responsible for the propagation of Anthony De Mello’s message to audiences around the country through Stop Fixing Yourself. Before assuming the role of executive director at DeMello Center, he served as the executive director of The Center for Attitudinal Healing and is also a one-time chief administrative officer at Stanford University’s Department of Psychiatry.

Don Joseph is a published author with three books to his name: The End of Stress (2014), Mystic Cool (2009), and Fishing for Fallen Light. And in recognition of his work, he has been featured on Dr. Oz Show, Today, Huffington Post, CNN, and more. Don also edited the book Stop Fixing Yourself written by Anthony De Mello and published on April 13, 2021, by Beyond Words.

The DeMello Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984 by Anthony De Mello, a Jesuit priest from Bombay, India. He is widely known for his groundbreaking and enduring work that integrates western and eastern spirituality. De Mello founded the Sadhana Institute in India and is the author of the bestselling masterpieces, Awareness and The Way to Love, along with 11 other books that have been translated into 21 languages and have sold more than 2 million worldwide His large body of work continues to have an impact beyond his untimely death in 1987. DeMello has been acknowledged by some of the current era’s most acclaimed spiritual teachers such as Rhonda Byrne, Eckhart Tolle, Neil Strauss, Adyashanti, Thomas Moore, and Paulo Coelho.

The DeMello Center exists to help people, as Anthony DeMello did, to realize their innate capacity to transcend stress, anxiety, and depression to experience peace and happiness anytime, anywhere, and under any circumstance.

The center truly caters to everyone. From stay at home moms, teachers, front line workers, CEOs, entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 execs and more, these teachings are for those who are interested in stressing less and bettering themselves through self-growth and raising the conscious vibrations of their families, companies, and employees. There’s a Demello app, workshops, events, books, a podcast, and much more.

On what motivates him, Don said it was a unique opportunity for him to contribute his quota, noting that Anthony De Mello continues to inspire so many and will continue to do so for generations to come.

The goal with The De Mello Center is to impact hundreds of thousands and millions across the globe for many, many years to come and ultimately continue to trailblaze with Anthony De Mello’s legacy. Improve your life and general wellness and buy Stop Fixing Yourself by visiting the DeMello Spirituality Center today.
