Success in the high-stakes world of sales is often elusive, with even the talented professionals facing the risk of burnout. Yet, amidst these challenges, Kayla Hodges has carved out a remarkable path, building a thriving sales training empire while maintaining her own well-being.

As the founder of Elite Sales Women, a sales training company that trains women in diverse industries, Hodges has become a trailblazer in the sales landscape. But her journey has not been without its share of obstacles. “When I first walked into a sales organization six years ago, I had no idea what I was doing,” she reflects. “I had been in restaurants previously before that for ten years, and was a single mom…I just wanted an opportunity to get out of the restaurant industry and provide a better life for my daughter.”

Kayla Hodges highlights three key approaches to thrive in both personal and professional life:

Embracing a Balanced Approach

Hodges’ approach to sales is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by women in the industry. “The biggest thing for women and the reason why they can’t succeed is because they let their emotions get the best of them and they push themselves to a breaking point,” she explains. “If I see a new women sales rep, usually, they begin to fade out of a new sales role around the third or fourth month because they start pushing themselves like men do, and they end up burning out because they don’t know how to rest and take care of themselves.”

To combat this, Hodges has developed a multifaceted strategy that emphasizes both sales training and personal development. “We give them a lot of tools to help them process internal struggles and be able to focus on work…so that they can do both,” she says. “When you do sales training with a focus on improving mindset while implementing leadership and responsibility, it becomes a game changer.”

Prioritizing Rest and Renewal

At the heart of Hodges’ approach is a deep respect for the unique rhythms and needs of the female body and mind. A woman’s body is not designed to hunt, and if a woman can find breaks to recharge, she will be more creative and have more energy. “I schedule time in my day to do nothing or to do some type of feminine practice,” she shares. “It could be grounding, which is, like, taking off your shoes, putting your feet in the grass. It could be dancing while you’re moving your body. It can literally be a nap.”

Hodges’ emphasis on rest and feminine practices is not just a personal preference, but a strategic decision rooted in research and experience. “Some studies suggest that men typically sleep for around 8 hours, while women generally sleep for 9 to 10 hours, with an additional hour during their menstrual cycle,” she clarifies. “Women may have varying needs during their cycle; for instance, during menstruation, they may require more rest, whereas during ovulation, they may engage more in sales and work.”

Harnessing the Power of Communication

Hodges’ sales expertise extends far beyond the traditional realm of closing deals and hitting targets. She believes that the skills cultivated in sales can be leveraged to build meaningful relationships, both in business and in one’s personal life.

Hodges’ partner, Jeremy Miner, has also played a pivotal role in her journey. Together, they have harnessed their sales prowess to build a powerful partnership, both in business and in life.

“It’s really important for Jeremy’s and my relationship. I want us to be, like, leaders in space and we want to be an example of what a true power couple can look like.” Hodges shares.

Manifest Success Through Attraction

Hodges’ holistic approach to sales and life extends to the concept of attraction. She believes that by becoming the person you want to attract, you can manifest the life and relationships you desire.

“People will crave and want things, but sometimes they’re not willing to take responsibility of becoming the person that will attract what they want,” she explains.

As Hodges continues to inspire and empower women around the world, her message of balance, authenticity, and the power of communication resonates with those seeking to achieve success without sacrificing their well-being.

“I am here for any woman that has been sexualized in business, any woman that has been through mental, physical, or sexual abuse, anyone that has been told that you are not good enough, any mom who feels like they cannot have it all. I am here for you,” Hodges declares.

With her unwavering commitment to personal growth and her ability to connect with her audience, Kayla Hodges is poised to continue her transformative journey, inspiring others to embrace their power and live life on their own terms.
