Andreas Dettlaff is a big hockey fan. And as a youth who participated in the sport, he developed an appreciation for health and wellness and how much they can enhance your life. This fascination with wellness would ultimately shape his career and lead him to continuous breakthroughs as CEO of Nu Image Medical, a telehealth provider.
After graduating from William Paterson University with a degree in Finance, Andreas Dettlaff relocated from New Jersey to Miami. Within a few years, he had learned about hormone replacement therapies and how vitality could be maintained late into life with the right medical support - and his interest was piqued. He reached out to his primary care physician in New Jersey and created a partnership agreement.
Andreas Dettlaff began attending seminars and conferences to learn more about health, wellness, marketing, and customer service. He knew that together, he and his doctor could begin to address some of the physical changes brought on by aging and the associated hormonal imbalances that occur in men and women. They developed a weight loss product, and he began referring customers to his doctor’s office in New Jersey.
The groundwork was laid for the creation of Nu Image Medical, but it would take several more years before Andreas Dettlaff expanded his business. With a background in and a passion for technology, Dettlaff was more equipped than many for the heavy reliance on computers and smartphones that was overtaking the world and heavily influencing business.
By 2008, Andreas Dettlaff had founded Nu Image Medical, combining his interest in wellness with his propensity for technology. Realizing that only serving the northeast community was not an effective strategy for growth, Nu Image Medical expanded into the world of virtual visits and telemedicine. As one of the first providers to enter the telehealth industry, Nu Image Medical must maintain licensing in each state and compliance with all regulatory laws.
In addition to the legal implications of their work, Nu Image was challenged to develop specialized software for online consultations, as well as proprietary formulations and programs that set them apart from competitors. Through it all, Andreas Dettlaff navigated the way to a flourishing business.
These days, Nu Image Medical is a leading provider of anti-aging programs and technology. They work with a team of concierge doctors, formulary pharmacists, and quality assurance pharmacists to create prescriptive healthcare with synergistic and unique compounds. Their offerings include treatments that address weight gain, hair thinning and loss, erectile dysfunction, loss of libido, and hormonal imbalances that impact stress management, mental sharpness, and sleep quality.
All Nu Image appointments are conducted online, giving patients unprecedented access to their medical providers, as well as more control over their schedules and appointment times.
As for Andreas Dettlaff, he now manages a staff of 23 full-time professionals specializing in medical, technology, legal, and marketing; his days are spent building relationships, expanding his product line, growing his team, and increasing company visibility. And thanks to a recent partnership with marketing expert Kevin Harrington, exponential growth and company scaling are his top priorities.
Based in sunny, wellness-obsessed Tampa, Florida, Andreas Dettlaff and Nu Image Medical show no signs of slowing down. They are continuing to brainstorm and test new products, expand marketing efforts and strategic partnerships, and grow their customer base.
When he’s not hard at work, Andreas Dettlaff spends time with his wife Karla and their two sons. They are both actively involved in the Dettlaff Family Foundation, which works with local organizations such as the Children's Cancer Center and St. Joseph Hospital to give longer and happier lives to children who need support the most.
