Since the lockdowns started, the aviation sector has sustained substantial damage. Covid-19 shut down many corporate activities more than two years ago, which mainly crippled the travel sector, incurring losses amounting to trillions of dollars.
Since constraints have been loosened, aviation enterprises have begun to thrive again, yet even that presents a significant challenge for the majority. Many businesses are forced to face flight delays and cancellations as a result of the pandemic’s widespread layoffs and institutional adjustments. Moreover, according to the United States, only a few passengers are satisfied with flight services.
As the globe waits for another hectic holiday season, it is strolling through the more leisurely travel months. The Skytrax World Airline Awards 2022 began in London to recognize businesses that have overcome all obstacles as aviation firms make the most of the remaining months to get ready for the travel season. Unfortunately, since 2019, there has not been a face-to-face version of the event.

To honor the best in the sector
Skytrax is an airport and airline rating and ranking website headquartered in the United Kingdom. Skytrax has conducted more than 14 million consumer surveys in 100 nations for more than a year. The results for this year’s awards were based on millions of surveys completed between September 2021 and August 2022.
Qatar Airways, a regular Hall of Fame participant, won the top slot. Since the prize-giving body began the polls in 1999, it has received the honor seven times. In addition to winning Best Airline, Qatar Airways also won eight more categories, including Best Business Class Set, Best Business Class Lounge Dining, and more.
In addition to the accolades from Skytrax, AirlineRatings.com also gave Qatar Airways the top rank. Akbar Al Baker, the chief executive of Qatar Airways, stated that none of the airline’s honors could have been achieved without the hard work of its employees.
“To win these awards in the same year that we celebrate our 25th anniversary is even more rewarding,” Baker added.
“Consistent service, consistent product, consistent attention to passengers and absolute dedication from everyone that works in the airline.”
