Ever since the crypto trend has dominated the digital scene, non-fungible tokens have been all the rage. While most of these NFT ventures are known for their incredible art styles and interesting storylines, the projects that have truly made a significant impact are those that are founded on promoting meaningful causes. One of the recent projects that have been gaining traction is Hungry Hippos, an emerging NFT community that seeks to give back and participate in making the world a better place.
Aside from its tokens’ creative flair and unique designs, Hungry Hippos is also acclaimed for its philanthropic efforts. According to the project developers, twenty percent of sales will be invested in what is known as the HIPPOOL, which will take charge of releasing donations to Saving the Hippos, identifying financial opportunities, establishing partnerships, creating events, and coming up with giveaways.
Hungry Hippos is a passion-fueled venture started by Ross and Nell, two visionary leaders whose primary goal is to make a positive difference. While Ross is tasked to handle the marketing side of the operations, Nell is responsible for overseeing the artistic side of the NFT, being a professional artist, animator, and graphic designer by profession. They are joined by Sean as a community specialist and Wanqi, who is in charge of Hippo development and tech.

In addition to upholding a strong sense of social responsibility, Hungry Hippos is also acclaimed for being an enabler of success for aspirants and dreamers from all walks of life. “Joining the herd gives you access to a rewarding networking system designed to educate, teach and help elevate the holders in some high-value sectors and create financial freedom through Real Estate, Investing, Networking, and various opportunities,” explained one project coordinator within the founding group.
To ensure the realization of its vision, Hungry Hippos is currently working with Pro2tect, a beach and ocean clean-up initiative. The project also promises to support the Hawaii Reef Clean-Up by helping to fund programs that will save and clean the world’s oceans. On top of that, this community-driven NFT venture will also be helping a youth soccer academy in Uganda known as Mungu by providing them with jerseys and a place where they can play the sport they love the most.
The creators from Hungry Hippos announced that a total of 7,777 tokens would be available for minting. Custom and Unique Characters will be randomly generated during minting, and lucky holders get the opportunity to generate a 1 of 1 character. Tokens belonging to the Originals Club were recently sold for 0.08 ETH, and all 150 tokens of the 7,777 got sold out. Mint dates have been declared with presale on June 23rd and public sale to follow on June 26th. Whitelisting for presale is now opened.
